Naw, you don't need to put yours out in the rain if you don't wanna. Haha, you can wait till this storm passes...CFL's are fine, they'll do the trick in a pinch. Don't stress, it's all good, plenty of time to get them otside for the summer.

bro i just put the one i started back outside it has stopped raining i have a tangerine tree that will block alot of the heavy rain and a nice wall for wind protection. I am good moving it around? I sarted it in a 8 gallon bucket with ocean forrest have not added anything but that 3 in 1 pest and fungus spray.also my lil seedlings have all opened nicely and are like 3 or 4 inches tall in those jiffy pots i have some 5 gallon buckets and want to veg them inside then transfer outside.

Why veg inside and transfer outside? Now is the time for outdoor plants to get started in SoCal...I think you might just be better putting them out once they're big enough and leaving them out. And it's supposed to rain more tonight/tomorrow

so if i started the ones inside last week and they are pushing 4 inches tall and have set of leaves i should go ahead and put them babies outside?

very nice garden bro what kind of soil are you using? I got that fox farm ocean forest and do i need to move them around to have them in direct sunlight all day? or can i just leave them some parts of the day get a lil shade.

As long as they get at least 5 hours of direct sunlight, you're cool, though the more the merrier. I'm using Kellogg's Patio Plus and Kellogg's Garden Soil (blue bag), mainly because I'm cheap...lol...added some extra perlite and other goodies...Fox Farm is the shit though, from what I've heard. But yeah, no need to move them around all day as long as you can find a spot with 5+ hours direct sun.

ok perfect and if I started the seedling that I mentioned are under those flourescents i have had them since sunday under them 24 hrs and they really took off like I said 3 or 4 inches tall and set of leaves already can I put them in my 5 gal containers and place outside now?

They're searching for more light. With CFL's and fluorescents in general you should keep the bulb within an inch or 2 of the top of your plant. They grow long stems because they're stretching for more light.

I'd put them on 16/8, that way when you transplant them outside it's not such a difference in schedules...

so i just went and measured my babies bro they are only 11/2 to 2 inches tall i got light on them about 2 inches away and i just watered them in those jiffy pots they were looking dry and pots were dry also

Good deal, try not to fuss over them too much. I mean, be aware of the situation and their status, but patience is a characteristic most decent growers value.
