waddya think? (lighting)

hi all.


After some research and various other things i have decided to have 2 rooms, the flower room will have 6x600hps. now the veg room i am undecided about how much light i will need. 4-5week veg and bout 40 ish plants i was thinking 4x400mh would be sufficiant, whast do u think??

do u not think that it would be to crowded?

Ever consider t5 ho or the new VHO lamps? VHOs are sweet, 4ft 8 lamp is 56,000 lumens...the 12 lamps ones are freaking 86,400, amazing. You could rock 2 or 3 of those, and not have to deal with the same heat from the MH. That's the route I would prolly choose.

and would i see the same sort of growth as the mh?? if i got sat 2 of the 12 lamp ones?

oooh me likey, hmm i may just have to get one of those to veg with. i just want to make sure ill get my tight node spacing i do with my MH. 2 600's would easily veg 40 plants. veg in .5-1 gallon containers, then transplant 2 weeks before flower, into 5 gallons then flower in those under the 6 600's with 6-7 plants under each light. or you could go vertical with that many lights, but make sure you have efficient cooling in your room.

Cheers dude I think I will go for 3 400s and all 9 lights are air cooled so heat should not be a problem.

make sure you have the intake for those hoods, come from outside of the room.

I have carbonfilter light 6"fan light light ybend 8"fan and same on the other side all sucking the hot air out the room and 8" for intake
