Microsoft and the President of Mexico are copyrighting all the names of pot as
brand names to get ready for taking over the pot business.
If it becomes legal to grow unlimited plants we are screwed as growers.
Huge pot farms will flood the market with corporate dope.
Having it medical only is the best way, don't vote to legalize unlimited plants.
Millions of migrant farm workers will be brought in to harvest these massive
crops, helping big greedy corporations to cash in on billions of dollars.

I sure as hell do not want that. How about you?

well big corprotions already run the alcohol business and you can still brew your own beer and wine cant you? and look at people like jim beam, and Samuel adams lager. your filling people with useless paranoia. don't be afraid vote a big YES to legalize pot!!!!!!!

-facepalm- Greenberg, you're missing the bigger picture. It's not useless paranoia, I agree to vote no.
Big corporations do run the alcohol business, an YES people can brew on their own, but it's far more expensive to do do than just going out and buying some. Thus, if you were to brew and sell your alcohol, it'd be harder to find consumers willing to pay a higher price (that would cover production and equiptment) since its so easily available and cheaper regardless of the quality. The same would happen to marijuana, many many people who grow would lose money and customers, quality would go down, and I'm SURE the government would pack it full of chemicals and other unhealthy things, making a perfectly natural herb into yet another toxic thing that they can control.

I don't think so ... the pot smokers I know only smoke the best and wouldn't put up with bullshit government weed. are you saying that it is cheaper to buy weed than it is to grow it?? don't make me laugh. the only why weed prices are so high is because not everyone grows. but if it was legal people could grow enough to keep themselves high. who cares if people that grow lose money and customers. I think your not getting the big picture here its about keeping people happy and healthy. not lining the pockets of growers.

do you really think you can stop it? Face it. Pot will be legal federally ONLY when all the right people are in place to get very rich off of it. This does not include you or me.

When these people have all of their ducks in a row it will be legal on the federal level. This could be decades away tho.

Bottom line there will always be people who drink keystone light and those who don't mind paying more to have a little more flavor in their brew.

the market is already soft around here and this is with only one state nearby with medical.

I think people that don't want to legalize pot should first. get cancer or diabeits or some other fucked up disease. get a mmj card . go to a stuipid fucking dispencery and have some kid behind the counter tell um they have to give up 100 dollars for a weeks worth of meds. its outrageous!!!!! im sick of paying inflated prices for meds. tell me how that's helping anybody??? somebody? please.

vote yes to legalize.. trust me you can grow your own. everybody will get in the game. this site is full of paranoia. weve been waiting to legalize pot for decades, don't back out now. what are people so afraid of.

I hate dispensary's also, but I am a MM grower so I don't need one. I grow for others who have cards too. It does not cost very much to grow it. If it becomes legal to sell the feds and locals will tax the shit out of it. Each one will get taxed about 25%. This means 25% for the grower, 25% at the distributor, 25% at the sales point, that compounds to more than 200%. Extra taxes will added every time they pass more tax laws to try and balance the budgets of all the city, county, state and federal budgets. It will not be cheaper then it is now. You will still have to go to the street to get a better deal from a grower.

agree,..

the street grower will also have an advantage on quality (better flush, proper finish time, and trim) as the production increases, as well as strains that require more than 9 weeks will become not profitable for the big boys.. which is a shame.,,

The dispensarys around my area are pretty shady...
Ive seen them flat out lie to me when it comes to nugs
and the quality is nothing out of the ordinary.
I was so stoked when i got my card but after going to the
dispensary seeing the selection and the price i was
unsatified with the quality was just
grateful i could possess it now legally. If i had that as my only
source thou i would be pissed!

why would you not want that? you would still be bale to grow your own, and everyone else who wanted cheap cannabis would get it.

everyone wins.

wrong, if it becomes legal federally there will be no more legal small grows who are able to sell. It may be legal to grow but not sell. Without mountains of paperwork and liscensing.

Think micro breweries. Or startup distillation facilities. It is incredibly hard to open new companies in this business.

Pot will be no better.

This thread is so full of stupid, it makes me cry! This reminds me of all those emails in the early 90's that said yahoo was going to start charging or if you forward this email Bill Gates will give you thousands of dollars. Do you people (conspiracy theorists) even stop for one second and actually think through what you write?

tax and regulation is a fact of life for any legal commodity, and that is even more true for the commodities that give you a buzz.
