Churches are people, do they vote? Political parties are people, do they vote? Unions are people, do they vote?
A Church is not a person/people..it is a building/place where people go worship

A Political party is made up of people same as unions, but that does not make the party or union human....When a corporation does something illegal does the corporation go to jail ??? nope the people can but the corporation still can stay free and do what it does.. . Corporations do not breathe. Corporations do not fall in love. Corporations do not have children. Corporations do not lose their jobs. Corporations do not fight and die in war...

he's right my uncle dated a union once - they had to call it off because of issues in the bedroom and he was infatuated with her from day one.

No, Corporations and things are not people, they are things....people are people...communism kills people.

Yes, well apparently you are not aware of all the smears and spin out there.

One thing I am not happy about is that Romney is being stuck with stuff that happened 2 years AFTER he left the company.

The other Republican challengers can do what they like but I dont have to appreciate it. I expect it from Obama.

And Perry? He is talking about completely eliminating at least 3 federal departments. Him going after Romney for firing people is a bit hypocritical eh?
I think it is worth noting that there is a difference between a private business job and a public sector "job". If a person owns a company and wants to hire, fire or subsidize an employee that is their business as the owner. The public sector "jobs" do not rely upon a mutual interaction, they rely upon an involuntary taking to fund them. Not defending any douchbage Republican candidates, just stating that there is a difference between private jobs and public jobs. Private companies cannot exist for long without paying attention to labor costs....apparently that is not a consideration for the public sector based on the $15 trillion or so in debt.

Yes, I clearly understand the difference. The funny thing is that Perry is talking about cutting thousands of jobs while pointing at Romney and saying when he did it, it was a bad thing. The person losing their job doesnt make a big distinction IMO.

What I object to is the vilifying of venture capital businesses that exist to attempt to bail companies out of financial trouble. Yes, some people's jobs are lost but not the whole company. Every aspect of capitalism seems under assault and now parts of it are under assault by the Republicans as well which is total bullshit.

BTW, I found out that both Ron Paul AND Rush Limbaugh agreed with my position on the issue.

I'm glad that fat boy Rush can see that point...too bad he doesn't realize that on the liberty front he's just another heavy breathing moron that thinks he knows how to run people's lives.

Obama or Romney, really??? Both suck! It doesn't matter if they're a Democrat or Republican, a liberal is a liberal!

Yet corporations pay income taxes. In the U.S., the highest corporate income tax on the planet.

And then the stockholders, the PEOPLE who own the corporation, pay Capital Gains taxes.

Double taxation.

why do conservatives always rail about "the highest corporate income tax on the planet" without ever mentioning that it is one of the lowest EFFECTIVE tax rates in the world?

Even the STRAW-MAN knows that nothing in your statement negates the fact that owners of corporations are subjected to DOUBLE Taxation.

And the STRAW-MAN does not have a brain.

i was going to address that, but held back because i really just wanted to indict you for intellectual dishonesty. bemoaning what is effectively among the lowest corporate tax rates in the world is dishonest, and we both know it.

as far as the double taxation canard, phooey.

an entity is taxed.

a person is taxed.

i see two taxes, one on an entity and one on a person.

not even worthy of being addressed if you ask me.

newt was hitting him hard today on this, pointing out how they took $120 million out of some company and firing 15,000 employees (or something like that, not sure the specifics).

the line that stuck with me was when he said "just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean it's the right thing to do"

many will.

some will not. they will either stay home or cast a write-in for paul, as a whopping 0.00032% of people did 4 years ago. in any case, romney will lose votes he might otherwise have received.

in any case, it looks like the ardent support of some paul aficionados may lend help to obama's reelection in the end.

It's funny how the man who has the honor of being the only speaker of the house in history to be censured for ethics violations, and, left his first wife to marry his mistress while she was fighting cancer, is the crusader for truth and ethical behavior. Physician, heal thyself!

you forgot to mention he left his first mistress for his second mistress, but nonetheless you are right. politics can do weird things to people.

He didnt leave his first wife to marry his mistress while she was fighting cancer. That lie has been debunked by his wife and daughter. It just sounds great so it keeps getting perpetuated by the left.. Oh, and by you.
