I think it's all about control... not all christians are that way, but I think those same people if they weren't christians would still be upset about something someone else was doing, yaknow? The irony is the need to control is generally a reaction to feeling your world is not in control... and christians are supposed to place their faith in a higher power. A lot of people just have a limited viewpoint too. There are plenty of people on this site who want to control others' behavior too, just not in reference to weed... it's really confusing to me when i meet non-libertarian stoners... they don't think people should have the right to tell them what they can smoke, but they want to tell other people how to live their lives and want the government to use their power to enforce it. They can never see that they're just as bad as the people on the 'other side' that they despise. Me? I just hate stupid people
Lots of those on every side of the political equation... i've not met too many stupid libertarians, although i'm sure there are probably some out there. I think probably because most libertarians either start on the left or right and make a willful decision not to control the lives of others... stupid people can't make that leap for the most part
it never occurs to them that to have the freedoms they want they might have to put up with some things they look down on but have nothing to do with them
