Viparspectra XS1500 PRO Review

I have been asked by @ViparSpectra to test out one of their newest lights, the XS1500 PRO. 1.png2.png3.png4.png5.png6.png7.png8.png
Everything was packaged up pretty tight. Nothing rattling around in the box & of course Amazon padded it up nice with an extra exterior box.
Personally I'm interested to see if the lenses/glass over the diodes makes any difference without actually using a light meter to look at the numbers. I like the look. Looks heavier than it actually is. The stainless steel hanging hooks are pretty nice. It sits the light up higher up than with the usual wire kit. I like the heavy duty rope ratchets as well with the metal gears rather than the weaker plastic ones. Definitely a plus for me.

If interested the light can be purchased with a discount code using the link(s) below.

Here are some pics I took myself once the light arrived. IMG_4538.jpegIMG_4539.jpegIMG_4540.jpegIMG_4541.jpegIMG_4542.jpegIMG_4543.jpegIMG_4544.jpegIMG_4545.jpegIMG_4547.jpegIMG_4548.jpeg
*note the light does not have an off switch which is a little inconvenient for people who do not have a timer. You are forced to unplug the light during any darkness period.

The newly upgraded hook is more convenient for growers to hang at their preferred height, and the adjustable rope allows the height to be adjusted according to the needs of the plants to achieve different intensities of light. Glad you like it! Thanks for sharing! @HydroKid239 :bigjoint:

I just ordered one from Amazon this morning. Plan on running it with an original XS 1500 in a 3x3 tent. Hope that isn't too much light, should put me at 300 watts.
With LED you want at least 35-40w per sqft to cover the whole area for flower. You aren't too far off, so you should do well in there with both lights.
Any idea on a hanging configuration? side by side? in opposite corners?

I'm thinking side by side but staggered a bit. I need to see what the par readings are.

I'm following along with all the vipar grows.
Go team
I'm keeping watch on all the threads as well. I'm seriously interested in how they perform.
I'm getting good vibes. I look at my other 100-150w lights, and they look like trash compared to the XP1500 pro lol
My SF1000 doesn't even have any protection over the diodes. I lost the power cord for the TS1000 & probably wouldn't use that one anyways.
It's running the old SMD diodes. I couldn't find the diode type used for the XS1500 proor maybe I'm always just that stoned, but I believe the website shows Samsung led , osram led &
Meanwell drivers. This light isn’t running on a Meanwell, so idk about the diodes.
I seen an Amazon review that said good things as welll. I take things with a grain of salt tho & just see for myself.
I was supposed to transplant, but it’s been a project. The whole room needed a cleaning, and water for the plants. I had to shuffle things around. From mothers, to new cuts in waterto a clone I tried to give away today so I chopped/topped about 80% of the plant. Might just mainline it for this years outdoor grow.
I got things situated to flip 2 tents to tomorrow.

The other tents I have running aren’t part of a journal. Maybe I’ll make another journal just to keep track of those all in one.

I’d like to tag along with this light if you don’t mind . I have the P4000 that does a great job but I’d need two in a 5’x5’ tent . The glass over the leds should spread the light more evenly. Just started a few minutes ago here at Rollitup and looking for DWC grows . Looking forward to the grow .
Sweet. The grow is being documented in the link right above your comment.
