Hey curly saw your post in another thread... what would be the things you learned during those first few LED grows that helped you get better results? On first LED grow and trying to dial it in quick ;)

well theres a few things, one big one is watering with leds the plants probly (not always) take up a bit less water and depending on what medium your using it can be hard to tell and might effect your overall growth. next ya got the distance you keep your light from your canopy which really should be based on what kind of light you have and how powerful it is usually 12-18 inches is optimal for most panels. also ive found growing in hydro in specific dwc and coco so far have shown the best results. oh and probably the biggest thing is go and grab a botlle of cal mag if ya dont have it your gonna need it , i think its something to do with led lights in general something to do with one of the spectrums but ya calmag is your friend :D.

Do you preemptively treat with calmag during waterings or do you wait til they show symptoms? My soil should have a decent amount of both at least enough to last me well into flowering. Mine are 8-11" from plant tops now guess I should move them farther :) what happens if they're too close? don't think watering is an issue I don't follow a schedule I just water when the pots get light and/or dry under the first couple inches of top soil.

8-11 should be ok for ya only thing that happens when there too close is you ight get some bleaching but its not a big deal just turns the tips white although ive never had more than the tips go i smoked it and it was fine no difference at all imo. and ya i just use cal mag every feeding just 1 tsp per 4-5 liters had a bit of colour change and leaf def but very little and none since i started using it every feed.

Thanks for the tip I will have to find something for that. Haven't seen any bleaching yet so so far so good.. have had HID bleaching before so familiar with it :)
