I built one like that over a year ago
and it worked better than his design.

My spray jets are on the lid,
and the roots are allowed to grow into the full bucket
without becoming entangled in the spray jets.

Using 3gl shoe box for the spray chamber,
and 10gl tub with 6gl of solution for the rez.

The spray jets will not clogg up if you use good nutes.

Use the small red cloning sprayers you get from most hydroponic suppliers. I've tried the cheap ones from Home Depot and they don't work as well.

Use a pump with an output of 250-400 GPH.

Two containers are used to keep the roots completely surrounded by air instead of water like many Deep Water Cultures (DWC).

With my special organic nutrient formula I'm running 2900 PPM with no burning! Plants go crazy when they get enough Oxygen to the roots.
