If you can get closer to investigate them with a macro lense etc
One thing I’ve seen pop up time and time again is MOULD MITES scientific name “Tyrophagus putrescentiae”
These feed on any mould that could be within the medium.
I’ve had them a few times and they don’t impact on plant performance.
As your roots grow more a rhizosphere is created in the medium you’re using.
This rhizosphere has a lot of symbiotic micro-organisms and relationships going on.
One being bacteria and fungi.
Tyrophagus putrescentiae Eat fungi aka mould.
So usually although unsightly aren’t a problem.
