my wife cave in and let me have a whole room inside the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so lets hear it guys!!! how should i set this one up? 10x8 room roughly.
ill need space for veg and flower, i got a 250hps light. t-8 flouro tubes and a few 65w cfl. fans, yada yada
im wondering though with the flower room, how do i make a light barrier without really doing much damage to drywall. i got a nice set-up in the garage but its tough to keep the temps in range.

Have you thought about grow tents? It would really suck if you built something in that room only for her to change her mind...you know they are good for that.

None of the equipment you have is suitable for a grow in a whole room. You should get 4 600w hps's, divide up four 4x4 spaces with some panda film or foam board sliding walls, and then decide if you want to go hydro with all the stuff needed for that to really make a big grow make sense.

You know this will be like another job right?

You'll need full ducted lights and probably A/C and maybe you can fit the veg/mother area in the closet of the room and the little lights you have now would only be suitable for the moms/clones.

If you can divide the spaces and do perpetual you could be looking at 2lbs on aero per 600 in a SOG and grown perpetually that could be 2 lbs per every 2 weeks or less.

i like the advice your givin oregon meds. and your right. no i dont have everything i need. i like the closet idea though. i could make a 6x6 flower spot, and still have room to bring my surfboards in from the garage too!!!does anyone have any idea how much grow tents cost. that dont sound bad either

Grow tents cost around 2-300.00 bucks. A better option would be to get some mylar sheeting and divide the room into whatever fits your needs for a veg rm, clone, and flowering. Good luck and don't tell a soul what you doing loose lip's sink ships!

i think with autoflower strains you can produce every 2months 1000lbs!!!

i agree with oregen, you need more light, about that flower/veg room i think tents are too much , you can get that 6mil black/white poly and biuld a frame using 2x3's takes no time at all keep your floros for clones and mothers and get a couple 600's, i use 1000's but if i would have known what i do now i woulda went with 600's cus the temps get high with the 1000watter..if u so choose to go 600 or 1000, make sure you have one for a 4x4 space i think works best, although advertizers will say its good for a 8x8.....i would say 400watt good for 3x3 600w 4x4 and 1000w 5x5....you can check out HTGsupply they have 1000w sets for 300$ including an air cooled hood

i to would stay away from tents , the air can get stale easy in hy temps. with transpiration its ease to get powdery mold, its a large battle . i have a bloom box and i wish i had a extra room. my harvest was ok the tops were nice but every thing else was vary airy, witch ever way u go make shure you have good air circulation with fresh air.

i thought about the plastic, and just building a 5x5 or whatever for flower, and then just having the veg be in the open. but i cant find 6mil white plastic anywhere. only black. and im worried about the 600watter coming and causing too much heat. black and heat dont mix. anyone know where to buy the white plastic

dude, the site HTGsupply is black on one side white for the other =) its like 35 for a 50 ftoot roll and so one, check them out, i looked far and wide,they i think are the cheap[est, the light set they have are good, get the set up with the air cooled hood and add a cheap duct fan, a cheap duct fan can keep a 400w cool to the touch, 6inch 160cfm and its 25$, if get the 1000 watt, u would need a can fan for like 450cfm, atleast thats what i need to keep a 1000 cool and i paid 100bucks for a 450cfm fan

dude we got you covered, anyone around here who answeres your Q's will already have heat in mind, i think those $25 6inch duct fans are perfect for ventilation, i use one fo incoming fresh, and one for outgoing....if you went with what i said, your room will never go over 80F
