Can one be used to riase the humidity or does it put off vicks vapors? I found one cheap on craigs list, and it has been really dry here lately so my humidity keeps dropping down to 20 if I don't fight it with wet rags etc..

i have a vicks vaporizer in my bedroom; I'll clean it out good of the current solution (manufacture solution of 1.5 gal water 1 ounce vicks liquid stufff) then fill it just with water and give it a spin for 24hrs in a spot...
I've been having dry problems as well..
