VG Eliquid Problems

So I ground 3g of herb. I put in just enough of Now Solutions vegetable glycerin so that the herb completely filled the glycerin, I don’t know how many ml. I put that in a Ball glass jar and put that in a crock pot on low. Its been 4 days and while its gotten light green, it seems like it should be greener.

I took a little out and put it in my vaporfi pro II tank with a new atomizer. It took about 25 min to feel the high. Its not producing a lot of vapor, at least consistently. I know its a combination of things. Im sure the atomizer is getting clogged. Do I just need to have PG so I can thin the VG and not clog the atty? The tincture should be darker green after 4 days in straight heat right? I did not decarb but it says all over that the vape will decarb it. Where do you think I am going wrong and what should I do?

You don't extract the weed with the glycerin. You extract with alcohol then mix the extract with the glycerin. What you made would be so weak you'd have to smoke a crapload of it to feel anything. http://stuffstonerslike.com/2015/10/how-to-make-thc-e-liquid/

Correction - You need to use PG/PEG, not VG. When using an oil, VG won't mix well... To the OP, read the EJ Mix thread..

I just said glycerin because that's what he was using. PEG would be better since its BP is 200 C and glycerin's is 290 C. That's way above the vaping temp of THC, about 177 C. 200 is a lot closer. Who wants to breathe hotter vapor than necessary? Of course neither are actually good to smoke and you'd be much better off just vaping it straight, in a pipe or whatever.

BobCajun - I just didnt want to mess with the alcohol extraction method, but I have no choice. I have to dab the glycerin extraction to feel anything. And its still weak. And then after the alcohol extraction still Ill mix the extract with a 50/50 vg/pg flavored 0% nic eliquid since the 100% vg dramatically decreases the effectiveness of the atty. Thanks.

GrowinDad - Although this time I did not use oil, I will be getting some wax. I planned on also melting that into a 50/50 vg/pg eliquid. I didnt want 100%Pg/PEG Ej Mix. You think that will still work? I read in several places that people mix well and then store in the fridge so it doesnt separate.

This is very important to me bc I find smoking weed any other way just unpleasant and I am getting both sativa bud and wax to try this with for anxiety and depression and I want to make sure Im getting all the thc as if I were smoking a joint. Nothing to waste.

You could use the weak vg you already made when you do the mixing, so you don't waste that 3 grams you soaked in it.

I have no heard of refrigerating a VG/PG mix and getting stability. From my experiences, even putting a PG mix into an empty tank that had a VG juice in it prior I enough to cause immediate separation. I would just skip the VG and go straight PG if not using some PEG product.

With said, if you read my EJ Mix thread, you will see that I only add a drop of it per ml of oil and then add in PG to where I want it and my juice is perfectly stable, So a little PEG goes a long way....
