Is it true that more yield equals less potency?

Age old question... Most potent strains (or potent phenos of a strain) are on the lower yielding side. Doesn't mean you can't find a beauty that has the punch in a pack of a high yielding strain.


On another note SCROG allows you to get the yields up on potent strains with a longer veg time and intensive training.

GENETICS, ENVIRONMENT, HARVEST/CURE PROCESS. ETC can effect potency... it's all down to how you grow it, and the environment its growing in.

There are many exeptions to your statement based on the strain genetics, medium which the grower is using, and the growers experience on that strain.

please show me a pk or an OG kush that yields 600+ grams per sq meter....

Why do people think BB or BB crosses usually suck dick in the potency department? Oh right because they are football cola yielding mids.
again show me a BB cross thats worth anyones time. I grew out BBXNL (freebie from attitude) and it grew fist sized nugs, haven't smoked it yet but it doesn't look promising compared to the cheesequake that got harvested along with it.

I would say environment haas more to do with yield than potency, but above poster is correct.

I just wanna drop ma 2 cents while I'm here and I'm not trying to offend anyone. Everyone will have an opinion as expected...some will be correct and others will just add to the confusion. Trust yourself and verifiable evidence...mistakes are a very important part of the process in order to iron out the kinks. U can generally trust the masses but if you only rely on others, then you might be running around like a headless chicken. I'm gonna agree that you can have yield and quality...then again, I like more cushion for the pushin so that's up to you to decide.
