Very Humid in Grow Room

I need to put the plants into the flower cycle because they are getting bushy and tall.
The climate is not ideal, its so humid here with temps in the 80s with 70 % humidity everywhere.
I don't want to buy a dehumidifyer but this Frigidaire FFAD5033W1 looks like the one. I just want to know if it is really a must have. Or could I just ozone the grow room 20 minutes a day. All the plant are hybrid crosses, three different names but all identical. No hint of mildew after two months of veg. using 3 regular CMH

I run a dehumidifier 24/7, take 3 gallons a day out of the air.

My plants evaporate 3 gallons of water each day.

I couldn't run a good room without it.

Google vpd. I'm opposite its 29 if I dont put water in the air wish we cud swap

I just wish it was Sept. the temps will drop and so should the humity its 87 ° with 75% humidity, I read about VPD I'm sure its important. So if I drop humidity my production should pay for itself, right? The Temps drop to 76 at night, but water vapor stays constant.

I run 65% humidity from start to finish and I don’t have any problems. As long as you have sufficient air flow, humidity levels that you have shouldn’t be an issue. I only drop my Rh to 35% the last 2 weeks before harvest. I know a lot of people say not to go over 50% during flower, but to stay between 45-50. I don’t think there’s a problem with that, it’s a safe bet to ensure you don’t end up with moldy buds, but if your air flow is good, the environment will never have a chance to form any mold.

Far as i am concerned humidity is best kept low. It makes the difference if you ask me!

Check CL, you can always find a older DH for super cheap, for example where I am at I see (5) 70 pint ones for no more than 40 bucks! And the older ones are way better because they don't have any of that digital crap on them, just turn them on high, hook it up to a cheap 15 dollar on, high RH / off, low RH, controller off ebay with sensors placed in your grow space and let her rip! But if you don't want to buy one, just keep a few fans running on low on the floor of your grow space pointing upwards, blowing through your canopy so those ever present mold spores don't get to sit in a stagnant high humidity area in your grow space! And I am only telling you about the fans thingie because I know if it's 75% - 80% RH with the lights on, then it's normally 90% to 95% RH when the lights are off!

CL where I live there is noting for sale other than old cars and trucks and peope advertising for pipe cleaning. Im isolated for safty reasons

Facebook marketplace you can probably find one cheap. It does add heat to the grow tho so if necessary you may want to run both AC and dehumidifier. I range between 50-80% humidity by cycling dehumidifier, outside air and AC during the warm season. This year I built a dry box with carbon desiccant and it really cut down on heat when its time to dry the buds. It ranges from 40-60% humidity. Once it drifts up to 60% I run the carbon through the microwave and reuse.

I burnt plants with a huh? level low dose of ozone. I do not recommend.

That is an awesome tip, my grow room is below grade so I have no way to install AC at least not yet.

I am using very low ozone with ventilation so it pulls it out of the room fast. That brings me to my next question, got to get that odor under control. My cave room :) is 18 x 12 with 20 bushes I need air filtration There are lots of complants about these charcoal filters, advertising Australian Charcoal, t th tha that only makes me think its just for barbecue, as that's what the Aussies are best at.

Exactly. That dehum will increase your room temp by about 10 deg. What is the humidity of the air outside? If it is relatively low get an exhaust fan and exchange the air. If outside is hot and muggy also then you need an AC unit. Get yourself a mini split system and it won't be an issue that you are below grade.

I'm gona get a mini split as soon as I have the money. For sure, Ill try and just exhaust the air for now or something. I don't know really
