Vertical room gurus chime in... Blocking light from fresh clones?

Hey what's up guys I have a vertical grow room that's a octagon that I made myself and everything is well I'm just trying to come up with a idea to block the light from clones that I just put in the system. I use a cooltube with 1k hps and I am unable to raise the light away from the plants. I was thinking maybe some window tent film that's let's say 50% made into a cylinder shape to go around the cooltube without actually being on the glass. I'm just looking for some ideas. Thanks in advance guys.

Most seem to use chickenwire or some kind of mesh around the bulb to kind of scrog
the plants into, this will give them support and keep them from breaking when they put
on weight.

this is where a dimmable ballast would be nice!
I dial mine down to 60% when i get clones in there.

Look up hydrofarm dimmable phantom ballasts or quantum dimmable ballasts.
quantum dims to 50=75=100% and phantom dims to 60=75=100%
I think the quantums run a little bit cooler than the phantoms
