Ok, so im about 6 weeks into flower and im about to start flowering my new crop, i have a grow log made up and im gonna start using it when i get the ventilation system working, i NEED SOME HELP!

Ok so, listen to my predicament

Its coming To Summer Time, So in the small room I installed a window ac that keeps the room nice and cool, i have a 300 or so cfm blower fan that i have rigged up to my housing ducting. and sealed with aluminum tape, but it isnt sucking out the heat does it have to sit a certain way? there is almost no difference with it running or not, still around 87-88 with two 400w hps running.

But I also have two exaust fans for bathrooms, that i was thinking of using to suck in the cool air thats inside the room, would this be efficient enough to keep the room cool? i should have gotten a cool tube, but i didnt and now i have no more cash and i have all this grow shit ive spent about 1500$ cash on so far.

the two exaust fans are about 90cfm each, so i was gonna hook them both up and mount them in my room and run the ducting through the bottom exaust holes?

does anyone in here have any sort of knowledge, i post alot in here and im rarely able to get help from someone with a adequate amount of posts, i dont want to get bad info from someone with like 3 posts.

leave some info please.

Until you get it sorted out, you really should turn one of the lights off. Temps above 87 will stunt growth, possibly kill your plants and increase the risk of pests and disease.

Are you running the lights during the day or during the night? I always have lights off during the hottest part of the day (between 12 noon and 6pm).

well right now im using floro tubes to veg with, im using the hps to flower, but last i checked the hps was runnin at 87 or so degrees, thats why i decided to veg with floros to keep the heat down until i installed the window ac, and now im about to start using the hps again, im trying to figure out how to cool this fucker down, i used 1 of the exaust fans i got from home depot, and it was able to keep the heat down in my 4x4x4 box but i got a WAY BIGGER cfm fan, and its more than enough cfm for the tent and it doesnt even stunt the heat. im at a lost for words right now.

What are the temperatures outside the grow area like? If it's very hot, you may need to run some kind of air conditioning unit.

temps above 87 will stunt growth......bullshit
possibly kill your plants........bullshit
increase the risk of pests and disease.......bullshit

it will however adversely effect potency and make the plant much thirstier

it depends how far the ducting is run through the line before released outside. If the duct line is too long for the fan to pass air through, not only will it do nothing, it will burn out your fan. Either run a seperate exhaust suitable for your fan, or add duct boosters to your house ducting. It will also need to be air tight with a suitable intake (center room). I would suggest an impeller if you need an upgrade

increased risk of pest is completely accurate .. wont kill your plants or stunt growth, unless the light source is the primary heat source, in which the plants move away from the light.

It will however make your plants burn nutrient much faster and the humidity isnt bad either. I wouldnt leave the daytime temp over 85 too often, but up into the early 90's is fine, as long as its well watered, and not the norm.

i'm not saying its ideal, but it doesn't set you back that much in growth and the potency does drop a little but increased pest danger is untrue, you gotta have the bugs near by in the first place, it doesn't invite them in it just makes them multiply, a more accurate statement would be that it helps pests thrive.

Basically if your gonna get em your gonna get em, more heat don't make a difference it just helps em multiply

Like i said, i installed a window air conditioning unit that keeps the room at about 74 degrees it cuts on and off every hour or so. The room is about 87 with the hps on, but ive yet to try it with my new window ac. A question i have is, how long can the ducting be to have the blower fan reaching full capabilitiy, right now its probably about 6 feet long before the air leaves the ducting.

I just spent 200 dollars on a fan that could be used on a room twice its size, though the ducting does have one bend in it, im thinking this maybe the reason.
