Ventilation

Alright, you guys helped me a lot with the lighting so I gotta ask another question. This time about ventilation and light leaks. I’m attaching some pics of my setup.

My exhaust is a 440CFM fan blowing out from a carbon filter. I am exhausting it up top.

For my intake, I’m drawing air in to my 4x4 using the passive vent at the bottom. Thing is I get light in this way. But the screen is protecting me from bugs.

So I’m not sure what to do here. Is it ok to passively intake from the bottom? Any other recommendations on setting up the ventilation?

Use ducting out one of the lower ports and aim it away from the light. Put some dirty chonies over the end to block pests and reflected light if you want to.

Same as you, I grow in a 4x4. I flower in the tent, veg right outside the tent, in the open. I only have one passive vent open, the one opposite the veg side. I cut a cardboard box into a kind of hood for the vent that keeps most of the light out while letting air flow. One full flower cycle finished like this so far with no problems detected.
