I have a 400 sq foot room for flower that is a/c controlled I have 6 fans for circulation and movement and I have a NG CO2 generator and keep Co2 at 1500 ppm and temp around 78 humidity at 55-60 I do not have an intake or exhaust vent but realize some exchange is happening through the a/c... if i'm providing the desired CO2, temp, and humidity do I really need a vent? I'm running half soiless and the other half DWC..... my room(basement) is limited because three sides of the walls are solid concreete...... any advice is appreciated.... thanks
I am in pretty much the same situation except I went completely sealed by choice just this last cycle I ran.... I run a mini-split ac so there is no exchange of air except the one or two times the door gets opened. I run at 1500ppm as well, tryin the new cap4 and I try to keep it around 80F with lights on with the understanding that it would be better at 85.....but I would need chillers or remote res's.........
I believe it would be better to run venting during lights off, and quite possibly every so often during lights on........ I am not positive either way, this is new to me as well and I only really know what I've read. I will say the last grow I did turned out rather nice, above my average even......but I did this 'switch' with the no-vent + co2 at about week 3, 12/12....so......? We'll see this round, that isn't starting off too great, I might ad....trying out two new strains with my regs......
So I really hope you get some great feedback in this thread---I 'll sure to keep an eye here, and let you know if I find anyting else as well. My whole issue with the venting is/was odor......WAS! I did everything from dual 10x39" phresh filters to a cd ozone generator....always had issues........ I like to be able to leave and not worry, haha!
Great Luck to you!!
