some people do 12/12 right from seed, I think there is a thread about it somewhere.

I veg to around 2 1/2 to 3 feet, I never go by time, just size and the yields are always gtg. :weed: But going by time, as said above, 3-4 weeks is a good amount of veg time, depending on strain ofc. Some strains you may have to veg out a while to get any kind of decent yield. (I'm looking at you Purple Urkle!)

You can go straight to 12/12 right away (from seed), or as soon as a clone has roots. This is the basis for a decent perpetual grow if you only have a single area to grow in (ie. a single space running 12/12 constantly).

See my 12/12 thread in my sig... I'm doing exactly this on this run, and just updated the thread yesterday. After 7 days in the cloner I put them under 12/12, and after 10 days in flower cycle, I'm well into my stretch period with pretty pistils.

Personally, I would go a little longer -- 6 weeks, 8 if it's a strain that doesn't stretch much. I grow only 1x a year, and only 2 plants, so I want maximum yield. An extra 2-3 week investment in time in vegging means a much bigger yield on the back end, so it's worth it to me.

Im still kinda new but I like the idea of vegging a plant out, meaning, for me thats around 2-2 1/2 months sometimes more then flipping to 12/12. I have head room indoors so I try to fill it when I can, but this is me I've run a few small grows and lemme tell you when you run out of something good you kinda start wishing you vegged for a longer period just my 2 pennies.

It all depends on how much headroom you have. Some can veg for 3 weeks some can for 3 months.
