Vegging under T5 Question

Im looking at vegging about 200 clones under a t5 fixture and making it take roughly two months, but i dont want them to be over 12in in height. Is that possible?

200?! holy shit ... lmao ... umm you'd need a good bit of lighting for that .. and T5's arent too cheap .. maybe im just the cheap bastard here... haha .. yeah it's possible but u never really specified how big ur set-up was gonna be ... you just said T5 fixture... doesnt help much .. just saying

it would be 8 t5 lamps on a light rail covering a 5'x8' area 54watt bulbs the plants would be in 4x4in rockwool cubes. I want them to be no bigger than 12 in high and i need it to take about 2 months.

yeah that most likely will work .. cause all the cubes are 3200in sq. and the light area is like 5000some in sq. .. im just not too sure about the 12 inches .. it may take less than 2 months .. you could try to tie em down or something??

No it will not work, you will not be able to keep 200 hundred clones under a single 4'-8 bulb t-5 light for longer than four weeks unless you don't grow properly. If you like you could take a look at my journal and see. VV

Yeah t5s are fine, but if you use a light mover the darkness is gonna cause stretching. Best think for keeping em squat is 24hrs of t5 2inches away.

I know i might sound like a Retard but i just got a T8 2 ft flourecent fixture and i just wanna ask how tha fuck you wire this thing? i meen its not like traditional cfls where your get a fixtue that you plug in the wall so if anyone can help me out that would be helpful

Simple as abc, 123, black white green. Buy an extension cord the length you need, cut of the female end and strip the wires back, you will see a black wire, a white wire and a green wire. Look at your fixture, you will see a black wire, a white wire and a green wire ( or possible a green screw) Connect the black wire from the ....get the idea?? VV:eyesmoke:

cosign with vic...they will grow too fast! better take some tiny tiny clones!

Im trying to get away from keeping moms. Im going to be flowring about 200 plants and i want to clone them before i put them into a 12/12 setup. I guess i could have different plants at different stages. I basically want to clone the plants, veg tham and put them into flowering over a 2 month period. I would like to be able to turn 5-6 crops a year.

are you trying to veg+flower for a total of 2 months? or flower for 2 months? if you only have 2 months, you should SOG that way you can go from clone straight to flower without vegging.

You can switch to 12/12 while still under the floros. Veg for 2-4 weeks, then just let them flower under the floros for the rest of the time. They won't be 12", but you'll have a jump on flowering. It's really towards the end of flowering that they really use the extra light.
