Vegged too long accidently

Put my plants into 12/12 but must of missed 1 of the dials so the lights were coming on half way through the dark period for 15min causing them not to flower, after just over 2 weeks i noticed as no flowering, but now im 1 week into flower and theyre huge! Over crowding my room alot, obviously yield going to be alot bigger but my question is, am i better off chopping off the bottoms that arent getting much light now due to being over crowded? Deleaf them alot to let more light through? Or even put them on 10/14 light cycle to flower faster?

Hmm, I was wondering about this particular situation as well. Hope someone would be able to suggest something regarding this.

Gmm,
Generally when people veg too long or don't anticipate the stretch...they run out of headroom. You still may face that issue. Since we don't know how many plants and what size growspace...it's merely an exercise in speculation.

You could consider super cropping, as Harley suggested, which involves bending main stem so that side buds can become colas. Lowers overall height.

Another thought would be to reduce plant number. Sacrifice one or two to benefit the rest.

If you're anxious to get the plant in flower...don't do a massive branch and leaf trimming since it will definitely slow flowering.

Post a photo if you can...

No such thing as accidentally vegging to long. You may have let them accidentally veg so long that they have become awkward to manage.

Bigger plants, bigger yields. Like @JohnDee suggested your best bet is to do a bit of defoliating to control stretch, create space & then super crop the hell out of it.

It can be hard work & worrying forcing a branch to bend not knowing if it is going to snap. I’ve managed to bend branches in all sorts of directions to create space. You just got to warm up the bend point properly before forcing it.

Do it just before they need water again, this way they are a bit more flexible.

A 15 min on cycle during a 12 hour off cycle ain't going to mean shit as far as causing a re-veg.
It will take at least a 18 hour on cycle for a week too re-veg a plant, that has no good reason too occur in the 1st place.
As far as cutting to allow more light to lower bud sites, don't do it, it's not really effective.
Next grow, just take into account how much actual area you have to work with, and work with that.
Bud does not need actual direct light to mature, it's nice, but not necessary
I use 11/13 for my bloom cycle, and it works well, I advise too stick with that.
Good luck :)
