your title is going to get you zero veiws/replies, i only had a look out of complete utter confusion, vegg til harvest?!?!
are oyu talking about veging spectrum lights till harvest? i.e 6500k all the way instead of switchin to 2600? you can do that if you want, but your plant iwll not be bale to use all of it and you will have better results using the correct spectrum.
keep them nice and close 1-2inch
how many watts are your lights?
i suspect only 5 CFL will not be enough to support a 5 plant grow

lol dude you need to flower a plant to GROW BUD to harvest it, use a red spectrum like (2700k cfl's).
I used 252 actual cfl watts to flower TWO plants, grow box COVERED in reflective material. You will need WAY more CFLs for 5 plants in a closet. I wouldn't even use CFL's for 5 plants I'd use MH/HPS.
