Vegetative defoliation

Ok, so I guess you could call it accidental defoliation anyways, a couple fan leaves and(bud sites got knocked off of one side of this plant in the first week or so of veg and anyway it's been growing with one side normal one side half gone, anyways I can say I've noted the side with less leaves and more view of the bulb have considerably larger growth then the node sites on the side that wasn't affected. Plants are rotated clockwise once a day and spun so even light around the entire plant and it still shows alot more growth, actually 2.5 more inches exactly. The defoliated sides largest node branch? Is 4 inches and largest on the other is 1.5 mind you the largest branch on non defoliated side was also the second node closest to light on that side and approximately 7" closer to the light than the defoliated node site.Just some pictures of the plant almost at 4 weeks in veg. It was approximately 21" when measured today, will be flipped once the topped plants in room get larger and the defoliation argument will continue. I personally have never defoliated because I can't wrap my head around the theory, but weather I understand it or not seeing this makes me wonder, I mean bigger branches=more bud sites=more bud, correct me if I'm wrong. Along with knowing some personally respect growers locally who just don't believe in it either, personally after seeing this I plan on trying atleaste I will take this plant how it is to harvest, tally the results and if its still inconclusive probably give it another shot.
