ok so i was chillin with an old skool hippie patient friend, and to get him to tell you anything about his secretes growing is usually impossible. well he comes over the other day and he was checkin out my girls. helped trim, and than we went inside to vape. while we are vaping out of no where he asks me if i wanna learn a old secrete of his. i was stoked so of course i agreed. anyways, he starts going on about how 8-9 years ago during one of his indoor crops he had to leave town for about a week and when he came back his pump blew in his drum so when his buddies watered the plants they got water and oil. he said he was super scared and almost just pulled them, BUT the plants turned out amazing. and hes been doing it ever since with vegetable oil during the flowering stage and he swears by it. he does have amazing looking/smelling/tasting meds. the ash burns clear white, and theres more trichs on his buds than ive ever seen before. so jus wondering if any old skool growers have any knowledge or experience in doing this. thanks

I'm pretty new to all of this but how did he dilute it, the oil will naturally float on top of your reservoir and if your pump is submerged it wouldn't pull the oil up to the plants. If you deep water garden then the roots would dangle in it for sure, I would think it would hinder the roots in absorbing much of anything. Just my thoughts since I have never tried veggie oil.

Last year I cut the top off a gallon jug of verge oil and the water was oily. The plants that I watered with that jug was a fucking awesome. But I don't know if it was the oil or the strains I'm growing
