...i like semi-pasive way a lot...ok for the moment...20 - 80 W for vegetative zone...
My clone light is sufficient for clones and seedlings. I just finished re-configuring my veg light to use 10 5000k Vero 18s driven by a Meanwell HLG-120H-C500A. The light is 36" long with 2 clusters of 5 Veros. It runs 137w full power which I only use in the final few weeks before moving to the flowering area. Most of the time it runs at half power or less. The Vero 18 data sheet says I'm making 158 lumens/watt at 500ma. It has to be even more efficient driven at 250-300ma. I don't have a picture at the moment and can't take one while the lights are off.

Its pasive or active cooling? And what headsiks do u use?
I bought the heatsink from an ebay seller a few years ago. It's 120mm wide by 36" long with 16 3/4" fins and about a 3/16" base. If I hadn't already owned it, I would have bought one from Heatsinkusa.com. It is actively cooled using 2 120mm fans mounted so they blow air right over each of the clusters of Veros.IMGP0171.JPGIMGP0172.JPG IMGP0174.JPG

Wow i really like your desing really clean, how big is your veg área? Cause for me i think with half of your desing is enough for mu 80x80 cm tent.

My veg area is 2'x4' but I really only use 2x3 or 6 square feet. 80x80cm is a bit more area at 6.8 square feet. Maybe a different shape of light with the same number of emitters?

You make nice lights @Mechmike !!
Thanks Pos. This light has been around for awhile. A few years ago it was outfitted with 120 1w cheap diodes and 6 cheap drivers It was passively cooled. Next upgrade was to 12 Vero13s, 4 cheap drivers and still passive cooling. The latest is the addition of, the Vero 18s, active cooling, Meanwell dimmable driver and a bit of paint.

I was really motivated this time to gain efficiency. The adjust-ability comes with dimming control makes it easy to provide for the exact needs of the plants. Active cooling is more efficient as well. The savings in wattage between having a fan blowing at the light and having fans right where they're needed is about 20w. I have it turned up all the way now and it's using 136w at the plug. It makes somewhat more than 20,000 lumens full on and can be turned down very dim.

I wish I new what I know now a few years ago. I would've saved a lot of money on parts I ended up replacing for better ones.

@Actionbone I'm running four vero 10's passively cooled, two on each 2.079"x16" heat sink at 35w total in a 2.5 x 1.5 tent.
I used this fasttech driver
http://www.fasttech.com/p/1714900
I just ordered 8 more 5k Vero 10's to make two bars with 4 veros each to use in another small tent of the same size and use this 35w light and tent for a mom and clones. I was going to use the same fasttech drivers for each sink and just use one bar the first 2 weeks from seed then both bars at 70 watts the rest of veg.
@Mechmike is there a meanwell hlg that could power all 8 veros? As much as I'd like each sink to have its own separate power plug for convenience, I wouldn't mind using one plug and being able to dim them first 2 weeks so I get better coverage and more efficiency.

This is the best match for 8 V10s. HLG-80H-C350B
