Veg indoors, flower outdoors

Hey everyone, I need some advices with switching a few plants indoor to outdoor. I'm thinking of vegging my autoflowers indoors and moving them outside when they start flowering. I'd put them out straight away but I'm kinda worried with the morning low temperatures, they're around 2-3°C during the night so that might harm them (and it usually stays this cold untill the end of april, after that the temperature skyrockets..weird I know). Anyways this will be my first atempt at vegging indoors so I need a few suggestions...which kind of lights should I get? cfl? leds? I'm thinking of doing like 3 or 4 autos. What kind of light cycle should I set? The daylight in may at my place is ~14 hours long. I guess the light cycles should be around that or can they be set at 24/0 since they're autos (and they flower after a few weeks no matter the light cycle)? Also the smell shouldn't be a problem since I'll only be vegging right?

If you are only keeping it indoors until the end of the month a couple T5's would work great. Then pop it outside when it starts spitting out pistils.

18/6 or 24/0 is fine. It may smell green after a bit, but won't stink to high hell until three plus weeks into flower, so should be ok.

well whats better 18/6 or 24/0? i mean is there a huge difference? i want them to get as big as they can before putting them out

I've never noticed a difference. Done autos both ways, 24/0 just uses more electricity. I didn't notice a change in growth rate between that and 18/6, and I believe that even an auto needs a little dark time. I ran one 18/6 while vegging with a non auto, then switched and flowered under 12/12. Came out fine and on schedule, soooo....

Idk, depends how much electricity you want to use really. Ime/imo lol

Electricity isn't much of a problem tbh...so I guess I'll go with 18/6 or something. Anyways which lamps do you use or actually recommend? Thanks a lot for all the help already

You can never go wrong with CFLs, plus they're not that expensive. You need the cold daylight ones (6500k), best watt to lumen ratio are usually 42W bulbs. If you keep them indoors for only 2-3 weeks, I think one bulb per plant should do it. If you keep them longer, you'll probably want more light, but they should enter flowering within three weeks. Don't get 2700k bulbs, they're used for flowering.

Well I got 3 CFL's lying around (actually they're energy saving ones) that are 6400k, 23W bulbs...would they do or should I get a higher watt ones?

but t5s or cfls would do. The ones I use are vertical for veg, put the plants around it. I keep my mama with one over it in a reflector. If that helps

well how many lumens would I need to grow 4 autos? like 10.000?
also is it better to have like...1 125W bulb with 7000 lumens and placed on top of the plant or is it better to put lets say 3 50W bulbs altogether around 7000 lumens around the plant? else id consider buying a few instead of one

If you're growing 4 plants then you should get more. Most people recommend around 80W per plant for the first few weeks, which is maybe 4,000 lumens. Two plants would probably survive with your current setup, but not 4.
