Veg clones under a 400w mh or 1000w hps?

Lets say you picked up some clones from a medical dispensay. Would you veg them under a 400w mh or 1000w hps with ventilation system? Are they too young to put under a 1000w hps? If not, how many inches would you place the 1000w above the clones?

Id say put em under some florescent lights until they have a nice root system then switch to the 400 or 1000 watt

The 400........keep it about 2-3 feet above the clones at first......Then lower it as they get used to it.......

the 1000 is way to much....

start out slow grasshopper....
