This is my third grow and I started this one 12/12 from seed. The plant is 90 days old so I'm wondering how much longer do you guys think? Looks like she has a ways to me the trichs are mostly cloudy suprisingly with a few amber and clear.

[FONT=&amp]You say 90 days, but those were all half days.

Those buds and pistils do not look at the mature stage, far from it, so I'm surprised you have mostly cloudy trichomes.

That said the trichomes can change very slowly so you could be at this stage for a few weeks yet.

Don't let the odd amber trichome fool you into chopping an immature plant.

Seems to me your looking at weeks rather than days.

I'm in the same boat, thought I was ready to chop because I saw a few Amber, but in truth they represent less that 1% of the trichomes over the plant as a whole, so don’t be fooled by a few Amber trics.

Oh and these have been in flower for 9 1/2 weeks (67 days) and they are still popping new pistils and swelling up.

These have anywhere from a week to two weeks to go.

Looks like you're looking at at least a month.

Damn those are gonna be tasty. Nice grow Herb Man
I wanted to chop them this week (week 9 of flowering- 4 weeks in veg 18-6 hrs) a RIU friend talked me out of it and convinced me that they were two weeks away.

I said I'd think about it.

The next morning I opened up the tent to find new bud growth and the trichs pretty much in the same condition as before.

In other words they've got plenty more growth left in em.

So chopping early could sacrifice a lot of bud that you would of had if you exercise a measure of caution.

That's one of the OG Kush's you’re looking at, I might chop one next week and the other the week after.

I'll just keep watching them for now.

Ya I totally agree, it's got awhile to go. The buds are beefing up everyday now but it took forever to get to this point. I have some 4 weeks that are much shorter and flowering already. I think I started this one too far from the light because it got really tall, about 4 feet and its flowered slow. I seen first pistils 2 months ago. The buds are taking off now though. It's in Canna coco with Canna A B notes plus cal mag and bombastic.

I hear you man. A tall plant is naturally gonna take more time to develop than a short plant, generally.

And then doesn't necessarily yield more than a more stocky plant.

So it takes longer and does not necessarily produce more.

That's why I prefer to keep them shorter.

Faster development and quicker harvest, it makes more sense, to me.

I was under the impression that amber trichomes indicated that the resin was beginning to degrade. Whenever I see amber trichs when I know I shouldn't (just like you here -there are no brown pistils, so there's no way those plants are ready), I put it down to the trich heads getting damaged.

I'm happy for any more experienced growers to correct this if they feel if is wrong. But the logic is clear.
