I’ve seen people use the same one last they use for food work well, like you vacuum seal it once it’s ready for no more cure, I guess that way would work. Think I’ve seen people seal hp’s.I got a couple lbs I want to get out of these mason jars, do you guys know any good brands I should look at for vacuum sealing flower?

I have used a food saver with mason jar attachment for over 20years after 6-8 months cure. You can also get plastic bins that fit in the big roll bags and seal it in the bag with some holes in the tops. It keeps it from crushing. 1/2 gallon mason jars are second to none.I got a couple lbs I want to get out of these mason jars, do you guys know any good brands I should look at for vacuum sealing flower?

Yeah, the half gallon Mason jars are the shit!!!I have used a food saver with mason jar attachment for over 20years after 6-8 months cure. How long will it keep in the vacuum sealed jar and still be potent based on your experiences? Will it store for a few years and still be ok?I have used a food saver with mason jar attachment for over 20years after 6-8 months cure. I just popped jars that were over a year old and distributed at a 4th of July party no one had a clue it had a 2022 date. The color goes but it smokes well and it is better than any dispo crap. In fact when the jars are cracked and the air activates the smells are quite strong and last longer than the weed lol.Mind you my drying and curing process is dialed 64º temps RH of 60. Hang whole plants until snap, then in bins for three weeks, then buds are cut directly into the half gallon jars removing leaves that are accessible but not really "trimming." I have moisture tested 2 year old weed that was 9%. It is still sticky and not at all brittle or dry. Again if you constantly open and seal them it will effect it. Each half gallon can hold about 3 oz depending on the strain. I do not grow any huge yielders. This is small batch for family and friends. How long will it keep in the vacuum sealed jar and still be potent based on your experiences? Will it store for a few years and still be ok?
Love Food Saver. I bought the cheapest one Walmart had with a hose attachment so I could vac seal my 1/2 gallon and quart jars. I've had weed in them for years with change in color but not potency, just getting milder tasting.I just popped jars that were over a year old and distributed at a 4th of July party no one had a clue it had a 2022 date. Final note I will add that I seal jars with the AC on and I burp them right before sealing with AC lowered to 68%. This is neurotic behavior but I have noticed a difference. Also I personally like flower that is about 5 month cure. IMHO it is just smoother and I also do not like strong "rapper" weed.My strongest Indica strain are MacStomper and a 7 year old LA Confidential and a 8 year old Blue Balls plant that I use for evening smoke. I have mostly Sativa like Orange Soda, Orange Diesel, Chernoybly/Slymer. I would say the food saver was one of the best investments I have ever made.
Is the crushing of the buds problematic under vacuum at all? I have a vacuum sealer I use to cob my popcorn buds, but I have been afraid to use it to preserve the crop due to the crushing effect. I haven't produced so much of a surplus that I need to vacuum pack so far, but it might be a useful process in the future if it doesn't affect the product too much. In my head it would turn it into high grade brick-weed, which is not a problem at all if it doesn't cause degradation to accelerate.last year started using the food saver we've had around for 15 years plus.
bagging in halfs and oz's for smokeables and 2 oz each for edibles/hash.
freezes nice. its still curing, just very slowly.
seems a little mellower, smoother.

I was watching 2 chainz most expensivist on YouTube and one of the companies slow cures their weed and lets it sit for a while or something like that. If that helps. How long will it keep in the vacuum sealed jar and still be potent based on your experiences? Will it store for a few years and still be ok?
I put the buds in a regular freezer bag first and roll it up with as little air as possible. Is the crushing of the buds problematic under vacuum at all? How do you do that ?Still prefer vacuuming sealing in 1L mason jars
It does compress the cannabis a bitIs the crushing of the buds problematic under vacuum at all?
