  • 1. According to my uvb meter these lamps produce 300 -400 uw/cm2 at 12-18 inches from the plants.
    2. I supplement uvb from sprout to chop on the same timer as the main lighting
    3. see above...the sun emits uvb always
    4. start out at 300 for indicas and 400 for sativas...maintained til the end
    5. these are the T5HO 2 bulb fixtures I use...great pricing, holding up well and externally ballasted..I use four of these 1 fixture in each corner in 5x5x9 height rooms.... http://www.aquatraders.com/48-inch-2...re-p/52123.htm

if what he is saying is the order the fixture for $70 plus he change the bulb to the 12% arcade T5 which are $60 each, he spent about $200 each fixture, but the MEGA-RAY bulb if $70.

Wanted to update this thread

I ordered the Mega-Ray bulbs SB-100 from www.reptileuv.com. I wouldn't recommend any one to order from them for the following reasons:
1.their customer service is HORRIBLE.
2.The owner runs the business out his house ( mom & pop shop). When it comes to stuff that can hurt you, it's probably not good idea.
3.They're on average 3-5 weeks on back order.
4.I currently have an open dispute with them. They almost never answer their phone; the last time I spoke to the owner, he said my package was being shipped the next day…..that was 2 weeks ago. Clearly a lie, when in reality all he gave me was a bogus tracking number.
Word to wise, think twice before ordering with these people.

2 UVB 35 watt reptile lights.
It does increase your trichromes
The problem with the Light is you have to keep them very close to your plant.
The power of the UVB drops off really quick.

I was looking into tanning light, and Coral lights.
They have alot more watts than the reptile lights.

IMO- after experimenting with the UVB, and Humboldt's Snow Storm Your further off just using the snow storm to increase trichrome production.

When I feel like a little UV, I stick em out in the sun for a few hours.. when I can I like to stick them under sun for a day or two before harvest as they always seem to just 'know' and they put everything they have into it one last time. Although it probably is more my imagination, I still like to do it when I can.
