UVA/UVB the real deal. A must read topic for all growers.

I've read UVB can cause ripening trics to turn amber sooner, so it should be started late veg, reduced in mid flower and stopped in late flower. See:
I don't run mine that long. I do 3 hours per day, around 1-2 mid flower. When I ran mine (inadvertently) for 6 hours it seemed to blister the leaves. I've only been using UVB for 4-5 months. Eventually I'll try increasing the time.

Now i'm running mines 5 hours in the peak hours of the light time , the leaves seem fine so far soo i will leave it until harvest that is probably in the next 2 weeks.
But next grow im planing on starting the UV in small doses in Veg and then increase in flowering to see if there is any diference on the final product.

i agree its a viable option , but after alot of reading i have to disagree with the part of the "best way" because , alltought it have some usable amount of UVB in the correct wavelenght its stays way behind of some UVB lights , terrarium or medicinal , of course medicinal lights are the best ones out there , but they are also very expensive.
But by no means as an easy solution, i disagree with final 3 weeks MH with no glass , i have tested it myself with some great improvments in my white widow.
i think the real benefit is with terps, genetics has brought the thc so high i could really care less about it, but terpines are a true sign of quality and they play a role in how the thc is experienced. cannabis has caused so many different crazy experiences witth me anything is possible. many plants likes rosemary are commercialy produced indoors specifically for extraction of essential oils, UV supplementation is extremely common in these facilities. in the commercial industry the mighty dollar is all the matters and theories have no place. they certainly wouldn't be using UV unless it let to more essential oils and more profits

Yo thats frosty as fuck!! #RespectPut in two 10. Desert Reptile UVB 26w bulbs in 33 days into flowering on my 1st grow. 1st grow yeah, but I’ve seen my fair share of fire and I’m pretty certain those lights were the cause of it.
