I've got a 5metre strip of UV 395nm and I'm wondering if it is not too much in an 8x4 tent. I've got it running along the top of the tent. Has anyone got any opinions please

They're fairly dim so I'm thinking not overly powerful . They run off a 12v 3amp plug type transformer. And I am thinking of leaving them above the lights as just an ambient light. I can cut them down a bit if needed. I'll hopefully put a picture in.

395nm is on the upper end of UVA and far from UVB territory which is what usually causes uv damage. I've run UVA T5 tubes as close as a few inches on seedlings/clones without issues. It also appears dim because you're at the edge of the visible spectrum. imo, you could probably wrap your plant like a christmas tree with them without damage. (not saying that you should.) :)

A couple of my Boards have UVA and even checked with Wife’s Transitions glasses. I do have a UVA supplement light on the “to do” list.

Are you saying sunlight? As in solar?? Or is it a title of something I need to be aware of????
Solar cure is a brand of UV bulb.
look them up.
great customer service too.
I bought a 20” light and ballist. But they shipped the 48”.

thry sent me the correct stuff asap and told me to give the other one to a fellow grower and maybe they will get a customer out of their mistake. Which I did.

A UV-A 365nm + 405nm strip.
I got this for £49.99, a real bargain because a week later the were £200.....? WTF! No way would I pay that.
It covers 1m x 1m area. My area is bigger than that but at least the plants in the middle get the UV
