USPS Tracking WAS working...then "Item Not Found"

So, SWIM made a purchase from the Tude for beans. Nothing ridiculous, only $70. Tracking took a while to be sent to me which Attitude was upfront about. No problems. Finally got it, it scanned a couple times in an EU country, then processed through an ISC in NY. Today, I checked it and I got an error message saying "item not found". Now, I have received the green tape before, but tracking simply did not change. This is the only time I have EVER had a tracking status not show up at all. I double checked and tried a second time, and same situation. My phone battery was low (1%) and died, so I plugged it back in - and all of a sudden my tracking works again, but no updated status.

So, basically, I am curious...has anyone experienced in this area ever had that happen? I do not honestly see how my phone's battery would affect the USPS website...and again, I was getting confirmation that tracking number LxxxxxxxxxxxIE was not found, not a generic error message telling me to try again or anything. Seems the battery would be responsible for perhaps not fully transmitting the tracking number if anything, but the confirmation that my tracking number was not found ruled that out in my opinion. Not saying anything bad about Attitude, but one time they sent a friggin barber cape*...from the EU? SERIOUSLY? Why would ANYONE import THAT?!! So I just hope they thought it through a bit more this time is all. They did reship and that did get to me, so no hard feelings by any means, and I trust them which is why I order.

*Please spare me the lecture about posting stealth methods that were already caught 2+ years ago now. I could see your point if customs *hadn't* nabbed them, but clearly they don't need to stalk this forum in order to uncover methods they have already caught in their facilities. Ideally, Attitude would also have updated its methods since then.

Strange.. I'm waiting on some seeds from them as well and they passed through ISC already.. let's see what happens.

Don't pay for stealth shipping. You get it quicker & saves you cash. I've got mine everytime.

I have heard this many a time from many a grower...er...many a "souvenir collector"...assuming that it is because a very lightweight envelope attracts far less unwanted attention than a bulkier or heavier stealth item does? Is that the working assumption? Makes sense. I kind of wanted breeder packs also, just worried about the what ifs and the lack of a guarantee if I go that route...but if everyone is getting them, no need for a guarantee. So...not to jack my own thread lol...but sub-thread: Has anyone who ordered WITHOUT stealth/guarantee ever had their order NABBED? Thanks for the responses btw.

I think the assumption is that an envelope that weighs less than a quarter of an ounce would attract far less attention than something like even a t-shirt or mug which is heavier and might have customs wondering if maybe it has a ball of crack or packs of heroin inside it. Also I believe there is absolutely no tracking without stealth (someone correct me if I am wrong please!), which means you can't incessantly and repeatedly track it, in the event a report is generated by customs based on the frequency of tracking attempts. Not saying they DO do that, but, also not convinced that they don't do that.

Hey man, I just got a tracking update. Don't wanna really say where they went just yet, but they appear to be moving toward me. It doesn't really matter at the end of the day whether it was one hour or one week or one month in the elephant graveyard, because if they took em, it doesn't take too long to do that and stuff a letter in the envelope for further delivery...as far as I know. Anybody who knows differently, please clarify for the sake of people 5 years down the road who will be wondering whether the parcel is in the clear on account of spending under a week in the scary place.

Its pretty quick shipping for me usually with attitude, but next time ill try witjout atealth shipping.. i mean they are legal in the US and I have read of many people who even travel with seeds in their carry ons cross country lol

Awesome man. How long did it take from the first distribution center after ISC to get to your area-ish? Like did it it go overnight or did it take a couple days?

I just got a few BOGO deals for mine. You almost ALWAYS get freebies from Attitude. I think around the $30 mark or so they give you one, and for every $15 or so more you spend you get another.

I would highly recommend you check out the "Promotions" tab at top of their page, because sometimes there are breeders offering free packs, and some are really good at putting out genetics. You must have got something for free, if you ordered more thsn about $30 worth. I just got one free pack from GoG and a Blue Widow. Well, once they get here anyway.
