USPS claim???

I bought some seeds from a US based seedbank about a month ago and they shipped them. I got the tracking number and it said they would be delivered two and a half weeks ago. I reached out to the seedbank today and they told me to reach out to the post office. This seems sketchy to me to file a claim on a package of seeds. Has anyone ever done this?
Should I just take the loss and try again? I got guaranteed shipping so I wouldn’t lose out but filing a claim seems like I’m asking them to look inside.

Just got to the post office and pick them up. Nobody gives a fuck about ur seeds man.

Happens often. Some seed banks make u sign for it so they don't have to deal with customers lying about not getting shit

Ok guess it’s not that big of a deal. I’m new to ordering seeds on the internet. They aren’t waiting at the post office though, tracking has shown in transit for over two weeks.

I'm having problems getting a couple of non-seed items through USPS right now. Remember, Trump gutted the USPS, reduced the hours worked for everyone and eliminated 10s of thousands of sorting machines. Priority used to be 3 days reliably, now it averages 7-10 days. I have some items in tracking limbo right now as well.

Yeah I get it. I didn’t even try to get Christmas presents online. That’s why I waited before looking into it. A month from order is a really long time though. Thank you for the kind reply. Hope your stuff gets to you soon!

Be patient. Some of the packages have taken a month for me. USPS website kept saying, Arriving later then expected”.

Haha I know. Mine stayed in my city for 16 days. Then like 10 more after it left the distribution center here. Send more last week. Got there fast

Usps is slow right now and has been shortly after covid started.

i had a over night package take 3 days soo its sad knowing you pay 30$ for someone to ship you something only to turn around and they have to refund you the money as its money back guaranteed.

heck now you could really get luck and ship fast and possibly get free shipping on express shipping since everything is delayed. What a nice 50/50 bet loop hole in this system lmao

Looks like you have been had! The last order i made within the states i had my seeds in 4 days. I ordered a bag of mega crop 5 days to my door.

With the current situation, regardless of how you feel about it, you have to give packages a month. Yes, a month.

I've shipped items to NJ and PA from NY and they have taken upwards of 3-5 weeks sometimes. It's just the way it is.

No patience? No problem! (because there is nothing ya can do anyway)

I doubt it

I had plenty of things shipped lately
Most fast but sometimes unbelievable slow
I had a package for from Lansing 30 miles to Chicago to Milwaukee to Detroit before arriving, it took two weeks to go a total driving distance of thirty miles

I've been looking into this a bit more, and it's a nationwide issue right now-Dejoy dismantled a system that has seen linear decreases in shipping time over the course of its existence and decided to revert to the delivery times of the 1800s. This thread just shows how widespread it is: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/forums/t/usps-delays-in-michigan-december-2020/747366. It's idiotic to blame this on Covid-UPS is the one delivering half the country's food and toilet paper, no one uses USPS for bulk goods. Christmas is always a busy time, but the worst Christmas season in USPS history wasn't even 10% as bad as this.

Droppin knowledge! That’s a damn shame. He is kneecapping the one part of the government that can be profitable without putting their hands out to the taxpayers. Maybe a seedbank would ship Ups or fedex by request?
