Using Molasses with tap water and inorganic fertz

If molasses feeds the same bacteria thats killed by the chlorine in tap water and chemical fertz make them go dormant, isn't it pointless to add molasses?

I'm missing something arent I?

well i used to water my plant with tap water before, it happened to be 7.5 ph , its depend on what your local with water quality, As far as you can let tap water in the gallon or bottle with open lid , sitting for 24 to 48 hours , the chlorine will evaporate. then you can dilute with molassess for another 24 hours with lid on, and make sure you can shake it good sometimes , next day your good to go :)

Mornin' Iz,

Did you purchase a filter, or a ton of bottled water?. I have found it nearly impossible to overdo an in-ground grow with molasses tea. That pictured 8' girl in the other thread I hit with 1/2 cup per gallon. I would never do that in a contained grow. Generally I'll use 1 TBSP/gal if it's a store bought variety. Which liquid are you using?, I ask b/c they do vary in strength somewhat. I'll definitely have to start a grow log, actually have a few that are outside 4 weeks from seed. I'm going to see how long I can leave them out before they flower, then either finish em' or bring em' in.

Happy weekend!

I don't use tap water and I use organic ferts, so no.

I have RO Trinity. Molasses, kelp extract, humic acid, and various other extracts. Have you used or known anyone that used this catalyst?

I've been doing it...doesn't seem to be hurting and I have 55 pounds of molasses to use up still so I'll be continuing.

I did however pick up some 0-12-0 guano and use this along with my inorganic ferts (MOAB, AN bloom, GH micro, and FF Grow Big). But I wonder if this too was pretty much pointless in the sense of good microorganisms being in the soil, due to the tap water used..
