Using larger pots!!!!

Has anyone used gorilla tubs before? (you know those plastic laundry tubs) Ive got eight uk cheese plants 4 weeks into flower, i keep increasing size of pots each grow to see if bigger really is better? I started on 10 l and now on my 4th grow and am using six 40 ltr tubs in coco and two 50 ltr..ish tubs, anybody had any experience with these larger pots or harvested plants that were in more than a 30 ltr pot, I'll post some pics tommorow of my progress so far.

Idk the math but i use 5 gallon buckets . when going big i use 35 gallon totes . People around here get the plastic 50 gallon barrels and cut them in half a lot of the time also . some food supply places sell the barrels pretty cheep . The bigger the pot the more forgiving your setup will be imo . not to mention if your trying to grow trees and not bonsai bushes the bigger root structure will help

yh 5 gallon is just under 20 ltr pots/tubs, im looking for someone who has grown double that size and successfully harvested it/them dry, im trying to average around 5/6 oz per plant ...has anyone had this success???,Thanks for the reply Chasta i presume 50 gallon pots are an outside grow yes? did i mention im growing indoors in a tent so proberbly wouldnt have that luxury just yet, pictures will put up later today for you to make your own opinion and comments.

while my first grow did not get the yields your looking for i did use the 35 gallon totes indoor . I had to beef up the floor system in my shop to support the weight . I did not get a huge yield but that was due to lack of experience . Also these larger totes/pots make it harder to fit 12 plants under 2 lights . Something to keep in mind if your limited on lights . good luck man . btw I am still knowwhere near 6-8 per plant . I need to do some more reading i guess . I'm getting about 2-3 only

I have had 4 oz a plant easy, its more about the strain and the food its getting i think, this is a 2'4 tent with 8 gorilla tubs (cheese)

Hey lighting, What are large totes? ive not heard this before im from uk, do you mean large containers yh, going of the pictures you see how many oz am i looking at per plant, and how many oz have you had from 40 ltr + tubs, im trying to achieve a minimum of 40 oz by 8 plants, what are the realistic chances of making this happen, im trying to determine wether based on a 12 month period which one would bring me maximum yield, more smaller pots with short vegging or large pots longer veg more bud?

comes in various sizes all you do is drill one 1 " hole on bottom corner for runoff works really slick cleaner and bottom line root mass = yield period here is a what plant looks like in 12" wide by 12 deep pot vegged for 21 days then transplanted into 96 liter tote and vegged for another 20 days look at root mass from transplant pic all roots when i was done i had litterally 96 liters of roots in my tote as well plants grew amazing 40 oz of 8 plants is very realistic but adds to amount of power and strain your useing as well as veg time min 41 days training plant lst supercropping and fimming to create a massive plant and doing scrog style grow with pruning techniques to achieve big dense buds

wow 96 litres man, most of my friends use 20-30 l pots at best, that must be some fun, im gona try it next grow i think, the strain i got is uk cheese, and i vegged for about 5 1/2 weeks, im coming into week 6 flower i'll post some pics. oh btw i was reading a random post before talking about flowering and he mentiond that flowering starts when the first hairs start showing not when you switch to 12/12 as ive always believed you ever heard of this?

i use 10gal totes. watch yer water. they can stay wet a long time. i water maybe once a week. sometimes longer. i like them. i plant a tad off-center, and use more open end to water and top-dress.

try throwing sand or gravel in bottom for drainage.
