Using C02 Pellets in grow?

Hey there.

Been hearing alot of mixed reviews on using c02 pellets to stimulate extra growth.
I have a contained setup with good ventilation, and I'm planning on using them just in a cup of water during the plants light periods after a couple weeks of veg. The theory is that the dissolving C02 will be released in the contained environment, and at least increase the PPM to a higher then normal level.

Does anybody see a problem with this? Some have suggested too high amounts of C02, but I believe with good ventilation it wont be an issue.

Grow Box Specs:

206w cfl (4400 lumens total)
3 sq ft of grow space
DWC and Scrog.
Filtered air pattern and Carbon filter.

is that all you have avaible, just dry ice? There's better ways. You should do some research in making CO2.
if you do try it. You have a small enough area to do it man. You don't want to exhaust all the time. The co2 needs time to be absorbed by the plant. If you can just circulate the air. You can run with a little higher temps when using CO2. You don't know the ppm of the co2, to much co2 can hurt your plants.

1st problem 206 w cfl (4400 lumen). Are you kidding? 206w cfl should be kicking out around 10-15 000 lumens surely?

After some contemplation, it would seem that I'd need an intricit timer to maintain my on and off exhaust periods during supplementation. There seems to be almost no CHEAP way to effectively supplement c02 to your grow. So much monitoring is required it is starting to seem "unnecessary."

206 watts of CFL only 4500 Lumens? I have 26 watt bulbs, each 1600 lumens.. and 23 watt bulbs at 1400 lumens, how do you only have 4500 lumens...?

EDIt:

SHould have read the entire post before I posted, you corrected the lumens error haha

I have seen others selling "CO2 Generators" that were clearly filter patch sacks
of substrate that has been inoculated with mushroom spawn. (usually Oyster).

I am an experienced mushroom cultivator, and have experiments, in all stages
of completion, all over my man cave, but I have never put any blocks into my
tent.

I just cannot see the CO2 being raised appreciably when I am ramming massive
air through the tent with an inline fan.

It would be nice, but would require a fans off period to help, and I cannot add
that (smell).

Take care,

JD

Dunno. I tried the yeast bottle trick in my mini-grow once but didn't notice a difference. Mind you my air exchange rate is high in there. That runs 29k lumens (250 hps) and I only do 2 plants max if growing weed in it. Usually 1.
Mind you, right now it has 24 chilli seedlings in it.
