Using Basic Hydroponics Generic Growing System

Has anyone used a basic hydroponic growing system (like used to grow herbs and spices) to grow their weed from seed to about 12 inches before replanting? If so, how were the results, what did you use, and any takeaways from the process?

I never transplanted in my DWC and I'm using coco for my medium now.
Are You talking about an inactive hydro system? Wicking? I'm not sure what you mean by "basic hydroponics".

If your talking about an aero garden or something like that then yes it can and has been done.
