that ain't no good
you need hps bro
and if you can't get that
CFLs
warm white
can get in any convenience store i believe
as much as you possibly can
and keep your plant short and your lights close

Halogen is a no go.

Goto one of the big box stores & you can get large CFLS for cheap or do what I did & get yourself one of those (I got 2) 150 watt HPS security lights. THeir like $75.00 & work magically with growth.

Better to order an actually 400 watt grow light from somewhere like HTG Supply for like $150. Im going to switch over to that when we move in September.

Good luck on the grow. But def loose the halogen light. Will cook them crispy quick.

dude you got ripped off.
the hps bulbs are about 12 pounds and the reflector is about 20 i paid 60 for my 300 watt cfl setup . because i was worried about the heat out put of a 400 watt hps.

turn's out the heat output was less on the cfl 300 watt bulb than it was with the 150 watt halogen. lesson learnt.

As I found out LPS (Low Pressure Sodium) lights well both LPS and Halogen lights are crap they don't produce the right kind of light and they waist power. You can go with a 70w HPS and a 35w MH bulb setup for flowering to get the full spectrum that is needed.

Also the prices are different because of the different countries that we live in but also where we get our lights and such to makes a difference. For me I spent $143 on a 70w MH , 70w MH ballast , 70w HPS and 70w HPS ballast. As for the fixtures well the fit right into the regular light socket so I was able to use my lizard light fixtures that are rated at handling a 150w heat lamp for them so I just used that.
