I need major help!!! So our plants were in day 10 of their 12/12 flowering stage when my fiancé and I noticed they had spider mites. 1st we tried spraying habanero home remedy twice when we were unsure if it worked or if they still had spider mites. We went to Lowes to pick up some pesticide called spectracide malathion insect spray concentrate for flowers, fruits and vegetables.

My fiance went out, left me in charge of spraying them with the pesticide (I have never used any kind of pesticide in my life and failed to clearly read the directions.) I took an empty spray bottle, transferred all the pesticide straight from the original container bottle to the spray bottle. I was only supposed to use a teaspoon per gallon.

I ended up spraying 24oz. of the concentrated spider killer pesticide stuff on 42 plants, the walls and carpet. He came back two hours later looked at the mess, the plants and me and freaked out. He was up all night showering the plants that I had sprayed. He asked me what I had done, I had no idea that I burnt the plants. Now they are all flushed out but the soil is completely soaked, we dont know if we should just toss them out or replant them in new soil? Purchase nutrients, spray aleo vera on them?

Up to any suggestions

for future reference if it's only mites and their eggs you're trying to kill, Mighty Wash by NPK industries. Kill mites and their eggs, not you or your plants.

Have you read any of the fact sheets on the pesticide that you used. If given a real good shower and flush they may be ok. But!!! When in doubt, throw them out. What a bummer!!!
