used for smoke

This may be a little deep for a stoned forum, but do you ever get the feeling your "friends" use you for bud? Like everyone thinks you're awesome when you've got a big stash and you're generous. I've always believe in pot karma, so if I have a friend who I know smokes and they're out, of course I'm going to offer to smoke them out...in hopes that one day when I'm in that situation they (or someone else) will return the favor and all will be right in the universe. Maybe I just have shitty friends, but since I've been staying home with my son, and therefore don't have a ton of $ for pot, I've been seeing a hell of a lot less of them.

I'm in the middle of a grow and I'm wondering, in this situation, would you rather have fair-weather friends or live a lonely life? I haven't even told my closest friends about my grow because I don't want them showing up in 2 months when I'm getting ready to harvest acting like we're tight.

I live in a midwestern state where if you say the wrong thing about smoke to the wrong person you're likely to get your ass busted, so how do you make friends with less douchey smokers when you're only links to the stoner community are assholes?

ahh. thats tough. haha ALL of my friends smoke and we help each other out. if you really feel that their just using you for your stash, just tell them you quit.

I know that's the smart thing to do...and that's basically what I've done. Told them I'm taking a break. And what do you know? Fucking poof. Like magic they disappear. Should move their asses to vegas and put on a damn show. lol.

Hell, at least this way my smoke'll last twice as long.

That's a tough one. Are you sure they're using you? It could be they just don't want to come around you and your son with weed.

Yea, you can always tell who's who because they only contact to try and buy or smoke your herb. Screw that.

get some cooler friends. and if you cant find anybody else who smokes, theres nothing wrong with going solo. i've found that smoking alone gives me a deeper, philosophical, more meaningful experience.

you know i do know what you mean and sometimes it is worse than you think. i think fo rm e it was worst when my wife and i get pregers and he moves out o f the house cause i quit teh weed....respecting ht ekid on the way.... some we lose the baby at 24 weeks in and he starts coming around again due to the fact that i smoke weed again and go thorhgh 18 to 24 beers or more a day..;

Oh we don't smoke with my son in the room or anything, but it used to be that friends would come over, we'd get baked, make some dinner, just hang out. But I was always the one providing for the most part. And now that I'm lacking (at least I was) they all disappeared. Whatever though. Smoking solo it is. lol.

dont mean to sound like an asshole but..that story would have had more emotional effect if i could actually read the words. work on your 3rd grade level grammar.

yeah..people come and go, but the one thing that i've always had control of in my life is pot. thats why i like it.

Normally I'd totally agree with you on that because I'm a bit of a stickler for grammar and proper punctuation, but I'm assuming based on the 18-24 beers a day that he's hammered. Thanks for listening to me vent, didn't mean to turn the forum into a bitch session or anything. lol.

yes sorry i have been drinking tonight aswell. i will try very hard it has been a bitch lately.

My cousin used ti live with us before we got pregers. after i found out i started to save my weed money for hte baby and quiting smoking and said it was not allowed in my house since my wife and soon to be baby were there. he started treating us like shit till he left.

now since we lost our baby in the 24th week of prenancy hea came over to offer his condolances and basically hasnt left since he found out i went on such a drinking and smoking binge sine .... hopefull it make more sense

No need to crticize Kricket haha...man, I don't really have much stoner friends, everyone else on this island that smoke, are either complete idiots, or total sociopaths...I prefer to smoke alone or with people I can actually trust, like my immediate family...That is why I come on here and share my experiences, it's cool to talk to he cool stoners and growers...

smokendude420: No worries about the typing. I got what you meant. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I can never think of anything to say to relate to people who have lost a baby even before birth. Most people don't understand the attachment that early on, even for fathers. I hope things start to look up for you soon.

smokeslikebob: I just recently started coming on this site and it's been a huge outlet for me to be able to talk about my smoking and growing openly. Even my friends and family who are cool with pot would freak if they knew I was growing...even though my grow is 5 small plants. lol. It's great having people I can relate to.

Yeah, this community has done so much for me over these past few months, and now, I just go around giving back to the community by helping out newbs and experienced growers alike! haha

It'd be so gratifying to be able to return the favor to those more experienced growers by helping out other newbies, but I'm just starting out myself. Small grow cabinet, just 5 plants. Obviously can't keep it up forever since my son'll start school eventually and I don't want him telling his teacher about mommy's special stinky plants. That'd be just my luck. lol.

yeah i find it great just talking about weed as if its as casual a subject as the score of a football game.
