:?upstate ny outdoor grow. all in 4 to 5 gallon pots, started early june, blood and bone meal mixed into miracle grow organic with some perlite and other standard topsoil, mixed the topsoil by hand. cleared a spot in the woods with at least 8 hours of direct sunlight. only gave nutes once, miracle grow rose plant food, it's higher in phosphorous than nitrogen but it's all i had and it worked last year. had one male and removed it, it's not in pictures, so five females all indica/sativa bagseed, the sativa dominant has not shown sex yet, she is about 6.5 feet tall and somewhat lanky. i am losing some fan leaves which are yellowing and wilting. haven't watered in awhile but getting numerous thunderstorms and rain, just watered with some nutes just before taking pictures. i grew successfully the last two years, this is year three. i am a low budget grower of bagseed and it works for me. should yield maybe ten ounces at least from these babies, all for personal consumption. I love the variety of bagseed, you never know what you will end up with. Let me know what the yellowing fan leaves indicate, haven't checked the ph yet, think it's nitrogen deficiency???

I would say bigger pots 5 gallon is not enough if u ask me. Its hard to judge how big your plans are. They may need a transplant if the roots are balled up. idk though my 2 cents

anyone?? nitrogen deficiency?? could use some help here yall!!
It can be a lack or abundance of nutes..nitrogen deficiency will do that as well as adding to much..so if you havent been adding any then add some...if you have added some stop adding so much...plus that rose stuff makes soil acidic if im not mistaken. tomato ferts are better suited for ganj

the pots contained bone meal and blood meal mixed with my soil, only nuted once with the miracle grow and it was half strength. i hadn't been home for two weeks to water or nute, so they got by with rainfall, so i think they were slightly dry and nitrogen deficient. i soaked them today and added miracle grow rose plant food, higher in phosphorous than nitrogen but still contains nitrogen. will reassess in a few days, anyone care to comment how they look overall????????????

Update, after adding nitrogen and water, all the yellow leaves greened up and the plants looked much healthier the next day. They were dry and needed ferts, thats all. Have six females total, the sativa dominant is almost seven and a half feet tall. All are now showing bud growth, albeit very early growth, but buds nonetheless. Will update with pics in awhile, any rep+ for these babies??

I'll give my 2 cents, why not.I think they're looking pretty beast, always thought growing outdoors was much harder for it to fully mature seeing as there's so many bugs and whatnot but you're doing quite nicely for such small pots, good job.Are you going to upgrade pot sizes for the sativa? It's massive l0l

I have an outside grow in upstate NY as well. I didn't have room for a couple of my babies a few months ago. I thought what I put out was Biddy Early, but as my seedlings fell out of their cups and had so many strains germinating I had to guess what the strains were based upon where the seedlings had fallen nearest the cup. Anyway some of the plants ended up being Laughing Buddha & Jackie White (as well as Biddy Early). When I went to look at the plants on July 1st I saw the BE had already started to flower. Now July 30th I have buds on the many colas that are already 2 feet long. Seed review said 55 day flowering period with a September harvest date (I have to crop before hunting season). Is it possible they would be done in August? I had a hard time believing they would be done in September say nothing about August. My plants are getting 8-10 hrs of early direct sun with more shade in the afternoon but they do have intermitent sun through the tree tops right up until dusk. The rest of the plants are late bloomers with LOOOOOng flowering periods. I am not sure they will finish before the heavy frosts set in (fuckin' sucks).

Biddy Early by the way does well indoors and is way danker than I thought it would be. I was vegging indoors and decided to keep 3 of them (they ended up being 6 footers) and grow them out under 600W HPS. I got maybe a 1/2 pound of nice bud and at least a lb of trim that made outstanding bubble hash.

Just looked at your pictures. I thought when I saw the yellow spotting it was from splashing ferts on your leaves. I would't even bother with ferts if you are going to use Miracle Grow anything. Also you might want to consider not using buckets. I dig a shallow hole and stich the Root Organis bag (holes already in the bag) and I never have to water them, although I do feed them Fox Farm Nutes once every couple of weeks (17 mile drive to the plants on the highway & 3 miles via logging road). I only see them every couple of weeks.

Thanks for the input fellas! That was my first time posting pics, always a little paranoid. I never grew biddy early so I can't tell you if they will finish in August. This is my third grow and I have only grown bagseed. My first plant I grew indoors with cfl's, got three to four ounces of some sweet, skunky orange haired bud! Second grow the deer ravished my sativa, but I had a sativa/indica hybrid that gave me three ounces of some licorice smelling, pink-haired, very sticky bud!! This time around I have six ladies, at least two with the very fat leaves are NYC Diesel, got the seeds from a buddys bag of diesel. Again, wish me luck and thanks for the input. I will be posting more pics when I get home later next week!
