So I am currently growing in a 2x2x4 tent, and it's just not cutting it. For one or two plants it's good, but I am looking to run 3-4 at least if not 5-6 depending on the pot sizes.
I am using a Viparspectra 300w LED for my tent, and two 24w HO T5's for my veg plants right now, so my set up is very cheap and basic but it most definitely does the job! One week from completing my first harvest ever! I have 2x SoMango Fem Plants going in my 2x2 but had to keep them very short due to lack of knowing how much space I would have after factoring in my light and all other factors. I realize 48" is not enough height to work with.
So, I am getting a 4x2x5 or 6' tent... aiming to find something 6' but depending on the brand, but I will settle for a 5', 48" to 60" isn't a huge advantage but it will make quite a bit of difference still, as far as height goes getting an extra 12" on my plants.
I was going to order another 300w viparspectra led from amazon for $89, and put both lights in the 4x2.
But I just discovered this ES180... I heard it's the best bang for the buck and it being perfect as it is made for a 4x2.
It's $420 though... will it really make that much of a difference?
