Upgrading LED Lights

Yea heres some more. Im about to solve it by buying the fc1500 for 3x3 just need two more of them, dim the light. Green is green and green means go. I just had to stand in veg tent with the vipar off to gauge what it would be like and its good. A big change from before to adjust to but should work.

Before was fecida epistar led 3x3 and 2x2 light on 20-25% lower or raised but eventually just left alone high up for cuttings to grow into. I might have to less with it to either stop stretching or burning but overall pass-able plants. That will be in working order no need to change.

The reviews are indeed saying the mars fc3000 cannot have driver outside of tent. This is all over brightness so idk about risking trying a SF just to see its too bright when I need it dim. Ive solved this exact issue a few times in 2 different enviorment and now 3 different spaces.

I will say the clone thats struggling was a runt that took 8 wks to start growing infact let me add a pic of what it looked like before I threw it under this light. Its like 12 wks old now almost so that matters just a fyi might be why the runoff ec is .2 ec higher at 3x a day and could just be rejecting feed unable to grow properly. That and its just normal for some build up when it should be in flower right now half way.

Yea just added the pics and just see where it went to shit. It got taller and needed dimmer light and as I ramble earlier into realizing different lights have different ideas of what the dimmest setting throws out in ppfd. The lowest setting or 25% its going to be different. Idk maybe the spectrum it might not like or just need different intensity from it.

Id say thats a W. A slight down grade but really an upgrade. I would of had to lower the vipar and raise it frequently its just not bright enough on dimmest setting. Then 25% might be too much when they get close to the light but 5% is just too damn dim.

Of course when I swap the driver again to my 3x3 flower tent and dim to 5% it suddenly looks much brighter but concluded might not be bright enough for full size clones. The penetration ought to be weak with 5% but too strong at 25% with full size clones close to the light.

So now I just dim the dial probably wont have to touch the height of light at all. Can dim just where I want it which is what I been doing. Up till it just was at a sweet spot not touched until now. Air flow should be about the same its just one bar across the fan vs 2. For some reason the vipar just worked better tho with air flow it seems like.

With the mars Im sometimes having to play with positioning to get it right and other times is just perfect and doesnt easily become somewhat obstructed. I have no clue I just lower light/fan, turn up speed or just play with it trying to get it to sit different will get it to work to max potential. Where all leafs are shaking.

Where it may seem dead is actually possibly a lifted spot where air is being drawn to fan at high speed which is just as good. Can tell by letting a piece of paper towel or so holded out it will suck straight towards the fan.

Oh forgot to say its FC series so its samsung this time. I think those are just softer on the plants for some reason or just the mars ts1000 may of had other reasons it was better on my veg plants. Where vipar samsung burns them easy maybe its the osrams? Too much reds or IR’s? UV? Idk but my veggies just dont like it. They really love my fecida epistar leds and mars ts1000 when I briefly vegged with them a whole veg cycle.

This really inspiring me to diy my own light. Maybe Im right and know what my plants need this time but maybe Ill start to get to my true inspiration which is higher hash yields and certain qualities. Im not much for smokin idk anyone thats guarenteed to stay consuming my stuff so Im just focusing on my self.

My fam started using again so Il be giving them stuff but aint trying to care give. They quit from time to time and at no notice. Im looking forward to giving them that instagram bud tho thats just caked up maybe even more than whats at the dispensary to some degree. Weird how all bud looks frosty but theres different levels and kinds of frost.

Im gonna grow that grape diamonds, master piece and uh.. wtf else I get.. Well this jelly sickle I got some reddit screen shots of some caked up stuff. Those should get my fams attention. This jellysickle is just WOW. Flavorful as fuckity fuck fuck.

The jellysickle. Old pics week ago. Strawberry grape candy jelly smells. My fam said strawberry grapefruit.

Yall. I think I found the humidity culprit. I got too many plants haha jk. The portable ac has air leaks where it vents the condenser coil and also boils off any collected water. Also with 5 full size plants I only am one more plant away from being full capacity and indeed the dehueys are feeling the load. But it just spikes like freakin crazy and knew it had to be something to do with this.

I just couldnt see it at first as how can it be if its venting out. Check the exaust ports duh.

Besides what one said of course but its just not make sense how it only does it periodically. Half the time or more the rh isnt effected by the cooling. Anywho.

Il freakin… Get out of shower and dry off and the room spikes like 7 points though. Idk they said something about rh not being relative to someones arm pits lol. I never seen that happen but it explained some of the spikes.

Temperature is just as important as light. It takes 2 cold days of growth to equal 1 warm day of growth. If ĺeds can't keep your space warm, consider trading off some light usage for heating. LEDs are currently 80%light/20%heat as far as efficiency. Where the older bulbed light's ratio were reversed it was easier to keep leaf surface temperature higher with a lower temp room like you have. I notice a drastic difference in health, nutrient uptake and vigor when raising leaf surface temperatures from the 70° range to 80° or higher with LEDs.

This was them at 80F.

Well it says 71f on the meter but I remember it being close to 80F. Maybe certain point of days. It was for sure above 70 unlike now its 60-70f. I dont recall turning up the light but am sure that would burn it just like now.

Mind you my pheno is over 1.5yrs old now so it grows a bit different loss of vigor and Im on gas lantern routene now which I might turn back to normal lighting as its giving me reveg like growth.

I know I burned them twice two different spaces and corrected it just dimming. Like now, about 6 days later my clone is looking better.

Its not that I dont believe yall its just not easy warming a naturally cool space. I dont like heat appliances theyre hand in hand with fires but a 1500w space heater wouldnt raise temps by a single bit. The temps read 0.0 like 60.1F it wouldnt even raise it .1F degrees. Id need some crazy electricity sunk into veg space.

Only thing that can heat it is home heating but once upstairs hits temp itll just fry us there. So basement is much warmer but cant get any warmer. I know veg is better upstairs small room where its much warmer but I already setup everything as is.

I repeat this often I just have no space and actually have more space upstairs for flower. Its a big basement but loaded with junk and my grow stuff too, press station to harvest all of it to rosin. Its not a bad setup aside from functioning strangely and working my ass off feeding them daily.

I just need a water chiller so the warm flower room reservoir dont rot. For that I have buckets instead of one rez, 6 buckets one for each plant. I use 15a to grow and 800w lead for portable ac seasonally so I could use one then. Otherwise Im not downsizing 600w of tents. I perpetuate.

Maybe can use water chiller when I dont need half my setup unless 300w will do which it might for 25 ga 75-83F. I just want more weed fast. Need cooling too tho seasonally. I fill the buckets up daily takes 7min per bucket so like 45mins. Its do able the more plants the higher reward the less then the less work.

Sometimes it feels too much but its a problem solved, it works.

It better not be light tho idk I havent had a light run just numbers keep improving. I max out at 7-8oz idk if its a pheno thing but its just all she can give. This run might be 6oz clones but better not be less. Everything for a 7oz plant was there.

S’more pics. Its turning around. Need to prune back tho so the production clone can bulk up for flower with the others. So turned light back up a little. I just wanted to know this was why. The lower growth should still bounce back but that main top is like 12” from light.

ooo so the google AI is telling me removing carpet could reduce rh by several percent. Even if carpet doesnt get wet it can raise rh. Oo I want to remove it anyway but see if this actually would help. That sounds like a awesome upgrade and the bud will be cleaner too. My carpet is disfreakingusting.
