upgrading from 400w to 600w, how much more yield should i expect?

i plan on switching my 400w hps to a 600w hps to increase my yield. from the math you would think it would increase yields by 50%, but that number seems a bit unrealistic to me. anyone know how much more % yield i should expect? thanks

about 200 more watts worth, 50 % is a bit of a stretch, i would say 25% would be more like it.

i would say 20% maybe 25%

awesome thanks! i think im going to have to upgrade. hell my tent is about 5'X5' so maybe i'll just use both 400 magnetic and 600 digital.

as long as you can keep the air moving enough to keep the temps down both would be good in that size tent

it will run at the same temps as your none cooltube 400w with even the most basic vent setup

this is a good idea

i see 600 and 1000 watt lights going for almost the same price anyway

when i switched from 400-600 i got about a 1/2oz per plant increase

Yeah 20-25 percent sounds about right.I might add another 400 watt tho instead of getting a 600 but decision is not made yet who knows when the money is in my hand i will probably get a 1000 watt but they say the 600 watts are more efficient..

sorry but just curious to the difference in you electric bill after switching from 400 to 600. is a a big difference or hardly noticable? THInking about upgrading as well.

I would say hardly noticable in certain areas..Like 20-30 more dollars if that..

really now... interesting might look into it, i would probably end up trading off the 400 tho.. or maybe keep em both so one day i can get it going big..+rep widow

my 400 cost about £3-5 a week, my 600 about 5-6
