This will be a grow journal specifically dedicated to the upgraded spider farmer SE-5000. I have 6 wedding cake regular seeds started and I’ll update as they progress. Planning on doing a scrog this go around with the new light over 3 or 4 plants depending on how the plants come out. I’ll be growing in coco using mega crop for nutrients. I still have to decide on final pot size so any input is welcome.

Quick update on the wedding cake plants and upgraded spiderfarmer SE-5000. I started to feed them at .3 ec of mega crop. I also added 3ml of cal mag as it looks like a few were struggling with brown spots on the leaves. I’ll be bumping the mega crop up some for the next gallon I mix up, first time using it so I’ll take it slow. I used a gram of the mega crop to get .3 ec for the first gallon. I have the light at 18 inches and at about 60%.

Wedding cake plants are now 15 days old and cruising right along. Roots are already coming out the drain holes of the cups but I’ll wait another week and then transplant. 4 will be going in 3 gallon nursery pots and 2 will be going in 5 gallon nursery pots. I also plan to do a 6’x4’ scrog with 2”x2” squares.

Transplanted today and the plants are looking good. Silicone on the pvc for the drain away trays worked amazing, all set up and no leaks at all. I’m feeding mega crop at .8 EC right now but will be bumping it up slowly.

Flipped to 12/12 on feb 15th,first plant showed it’s sex 2 days later and it’s a female! I trimmed up some under the net and I’ll hit it again hard in about 2 weeks. Gonna keep tucking for the first 10-12 days after flip and then let them grow up some. Raised the light some more and turned the dimmer switch up to maintain ppfd I was at. The upgraded spiderfarmer se5000 is working great and the bar style lights definitely have a more even light spread than the board style lights. The show should be starting momentarily.

About to go into week 5 and really putting the weight on now. Gonna have some fat buds by the end I think. Have a little canoeing on some of the top buds on one plant that seems to be much different than the rest. I’m not too worried I believe the light was a little too strong so I backed the tops off from 1600 par to 1200par at 18 inches away. I also cleaned up under the screen around the 3 week mark of flowering. Really liking this spiderfarmer light so far.7F42A4F7-AD9D-4270-8530-BA688A96AF41.jpegF9491120-9CAB-40BE-B2FF-A42A3CD568EB.jpeg6CB9C1E6-7305-4557-9BDC-9DCFF6E51364.jpeg600F03F3-4F53-4E42-A076-757EEA304FA9.jpeg0A306665-1C2D-487C-AA0F-0A43DE268E7B.jpegFB5DD84A-00CF-4900-8E84-CDDD75A153C9.jpeg382F97F0-51B4-4E50-8F28-B6A812AD35ED.jpeg46993CCB-8FDC-47C6-B44B-B77AB213FED4.jpeg195A2F06-F3AD-4989-96AE-42AC1EA91277.jpegA1C17C75-1360-473A-BAB3-3257C3FFD815.jpeg

In week 8 of flower now, getting close to harvest. Smells great in here, that said I definitely would like to upgrade to a 8 or 10 inch exhaust fan with carbon filter. Flowers are frosty and I have some real big buds along the back wall. Trichomes are turning from clear to cloudy now.C295D46E-74B0-4BF8-ABAC-BB592217C63E.jpeg6C48CD87-AB30-48C5-B8F1-9CF6D8FD1655.jpeg2BEEEA06-6AB0-4667-A0BE-27D3B2E25320.jpeg58A3E6C8-DE0D-4507-968F-D8DEBD3C0D56.jpeg179D4821-63FF-4A30-8765-977F326DA05A.jpeg298CAD3D-3D9A-4AFA-879C-8436A53C5448.jpeg167457B2-1FC7-4877-B3B7-7A3F3718492F.jpegFD1FC6F4-978D-4637-8F28-C9652748ACB9.jpegDB7B2B56-43CE-44EF-ACD6-4612ABE30F7F.jpeg5F2F8E3B-F109-41DA-86B0-B9C3F476462C.jpeg
