go to ebay and look out for a cheap going hps set, and keep a close look at your local building supply stores, one of the other guys made there a real bargain on 3 150W hps flutters yesterday, maybe you go happy too:)

with those 4 floros you won't do anything great for sure.

ngtybear was the guy who got happy;) look at his post "cfl guys gets hps" or something like that;)

Mr Green...

They look a little stretched to me, but let us let other chime in here. I would suggest a little more light for veg, and a whole lot more light for flowering. In addition, I do believe you know you need a different color (CCT) light for flowering than vegging.

Yeap, that was me. ;) 3 150w HPS and 2 70w HPS. $10 per light. :D

You need 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering. I agree with green, if you have the room get yourself an HPS set for flowering.

depends of your voltage, if you go with 110V you should go with at least 400W HPS, if you want to go with cfls till bitter end you have to invest into real 800W of cfl/floro. so i suggest that you go with hps which is cheaper to buy as well as to run:)

if you want to make compromises a 250W hps will do also a halfway deasent job for you. but the best lumen ratio you get for around 400 to 600W with hps.

in your case, if you still got space to work with, take a few clones and flower them too;) two plants are not really much to go with, but that is my unworthy opinion;)

yeah i can get a hps .. but i dont know what i can say about the electric bill going up??? my mom haha with 4 floros im under cover . . if i move up 2 a 250 watt or 400 watt . . what can i say . . .i would do it in a sec if i knew i could get away with it . .

see the thing with floros and cfls is that they got only a recovery of 60 to 100lumens per watt depending on the source of information. hps therefor have recovery of around 150lumens/W. you figure my mathe, right;)

and for flowering you should have about 50,000 whopping lumens:-? and if you got bigass plants with more then 3ft at the end of flowering you need even more to get any real out of them.

i would go for two 250W hps, then get a 400W, if you buy from a hydro shop the 250W go for almost the same as the 400W and the 400W has a better ratio then the 2 250W together!

It depends on what kind of lights you get. It sounds like HPS is out the question, due to it's electricity spike. There really aren't that many options for flowering, so I would suggest maybe an Envirolite...or another kind of CFL (compact fluroscent light). These pack a fantastic punch for the low wattage they use. They should be unnoticeable electricity-wise. Envirolites brag that their lights are taylored to growing in that they emit the perfect wavelengths for growing. They have one for vegging and one for flowering...they're pretty cheap, too, but if you said you can afford an HPS system you certainly can afford at least one of these. I recommend getting more than one, but if you're only growing 2 plants, maybe just grab a 200w Envirolite (flowering version).

You really don't have any other option if you're not willing to get an HPS bulb. You'll need one or two CFL's. You should be OK with just one, but I'd get at least 200w of CFL if I were you...you said you care a lot about this grow, so if you're serious about flowering, THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO (IMO)!!

and the bill, well you don't have to buy dope anymore on the street, so lee danger to be busted doing so as well, okay i don't know the current rates around your place but in my case it is about 10 bucks a gram for mexican and 15-20 for some decent stuff, so i safe money with growing and need less too. my stuff is simply stronger and tastes way better;)
so put the money you safe on buying in your mums pocket and tell her to just don't ask;) and if she does tell her that you fight actively organist crime, which is really the case:)

SO, by doing so, he pays the price of one deluxe 400W almost, has the same bill for power, 400W stay 400W, and less lumens to go with. that is, sorry about that, just plain stupid to do!

200W envos go for 80-90 bucks a piece, a 400W goes for 120-200bucks. figured it?:-?
