Hello all, I'm new here and I am hoping to find some help, so I can stop 
I found out recently that I have a ph imbalance. My method was 1 gallon jugs filled with RO water, ph and then water. However, I have found that while my mixed nutes hold ph very well, that my regular water does not. I never double checked before, but when I double checked last week or so, I found that every time I stuck my ph pen in I was getting a different reading. Also I found it's very hard to ph regular water. I recently bought 2 5 gallon water jugs, and am going to ph them instead of the 1 gallon jugs. So here's my question, my ph is all over the place, my pen readys 6.65 and 15 minutes later is 6.30. sat overnight and got something totally differant. My ph pen is an extech exstik, and I check calibration every use, when I check my premixed nutes it's the same day in day out, at 6.55.
Does anyone have any tips on phing water?
Is this normal????
Anyone else encounter this problem????
Also 1 drop ph down drops 5 gallons of water approx .5 , how do I get it more precise?? Perhaps having one water jug slightly lower and using that one will bring it down less dramatically?
