Unknown Sativa & Supersonic Crystal Storm Auto, 400w First Timer

Hi everyone,

Just wanting to get some feedback on my plant so far. I've been collecting seeds for over 2 years now, I just randomly picked out a few seeds and put them into the dirt. I ended up with 5 plants at the end of veg and then had to cut 4 of them down due to being males. The last one I have is currently 16 days into flowering after vegging for 6 weeks, it was started June 29th. Its just now starting to get a smell, which is seems bitter grassy type smell, up till now there has been no noticeable smell at all. One of the males I had was more indica and was smelling at 3 weeks old!

Soil is FFOF with 10% added perlite and 10% vermiculite, about a cup of lime to a 5 gallon bucket. Light is a 400w HPS with a cooltube being sucked on by a 6" inline fan right out the side of the tent so there are no bends in the ducting. Temps stay about low 80s with lights on, high 60s with lights off. Humidity stays about 30% constantly.

I began LST at the 3rd week of veg, the top has made it to the edge of the pot and it is slightly curved around it now. Since flowering has started I have left the main cola alone and let it stretch up. LST has been a lot of fun to watch grow. The tallest side branches are around 16 inches right now from the main stem.

Enough text, enjoy Hermione (wife picked the name haha)

Extra:
Fem Supersonic Crystal Storm started 8/1 in 3 gal pot with same mix as above. Got this as a freebie in an order, was the only fem auto I got so I figured I could keep in the flowering tent while the lights are on, and in the veg box when lights are off.

Nice auto. The one auto i ever bought did so poorly ive never really gotten over it but I must say, thats the nicest auto ive seen in a while. Looks like you will get 1.5-2oz and thats a lot for an auto.

U said uve been collecting seeds for two years so is this your first grow? You must have quite a selection to choose from :)

Most of the stuff I get is really just some schwag, when dank does come around its always seedless. So really, I have a big bag of unknown seeds.

The only pic I got of the auto is the last one, you sure you can tell my weight from that little runt?! I wasn't expecting more than 1/2 oz from it since it can't have the HPS on a 20/4 schedule, it goes back into the veg box with cfl's when the lights go out.

Well its hard to get a sense of scale, but if its only been two weeks, you will see a small growth spurt and I count 12 "open" (meaning at the top) budding areas, all with a smaller budding sites beneath. So if you, say, let the open + budding be about 2-3 grams dry, your looking at 24-36 grams. I guess maybe 1 - 1.5 ounces. Once again, its hard to see it to scale. Maybe just an ounce is more likely :)

But hey, keep your expectations high! Even if they are not met, it will help in the long run :)

Yeah the sativa plant I have has close to 20 side branches coming up. The one pic I have of the entire plant only shows half the tops. I'm hoping for at least 2 oz on this one.

The auto is workin on its 4th set of leaves, with side branches already growing out. I started it in a 3 gallon pot, so I'm assuming that may have slowed its initial growth a bit...hope to see some big growth on it soon as it only has about 6-7 weeks left.

Oh shit yeah I thought that pic was of the auto haha sorry!
But that is a nice sativa. I wonder what kind it is. Those really thin leaves remind me of a thai cross. Cant wait to see it bud fully :). then i might be able to get my friend to identify it for you if you want.

Updating out of boredom. I've measured an inch of growth on all tops except the main one, which has instead jumped 2 inches! I've included a picture to show its total growth since flowering started.

Going on day 14 days since last watering, hope that is normal after transplanting from a 1 gallon to a 5. I do have some leaves yellowing, going crisp and dying at the bottom of the plant, so I've decided the plant is hungry as it hasn't been fed since 2 weeks before flowering. Should it get veg nutes still, flowering or mix it up? It will be about 16 days into flowering at that point, looks sativa dominate so i'm assuming another 8 weeks of flowering at least.

This top is a side branch of the main stems 3rd node side branch. :hump:

My two highest tops, these are off the 5th and 6th node on the main stem.

This is the main stem, at the beginning of flowering it was horizontal, just below where the bottom of the picture is now. Its grown about a total of 12 inches since flowering. Other tops are chillin out of focus

Fed half strength Fox Farms trio nutes yesterday after not having watered since transplant. Plant reacted to watering within 30 minutes the leaves drooped then perked straight up an hour after that. Today I go to check and the plant looks normal. I was freaking out I had burned her, but today there were no signs of any burns, the lower leaves which had been drooping and dying off have stopped. So it looks like I solved the issue by feeding her. I'm really looking forward to the end result in about 6-7 weeks :D

The Supersonic also has started flowering and is looking good. Something interesting I haven't seen before on any plants. The lowest side branch has what looks like another branch coming out between it and the leaf. I'll try to get pictures of it in a little, should be very interesting if that is whats happening.

Update:

Both plants are doin awesome, really surprised with how easy growing is, I shoulda done this forever ago! I'm now about 3.75 weeks into flowering on the sativa. The SSCS has been showing pistils for about a week and a half now, about 4 weeks old total.

First pics are the sativa girl:

Post comments/Questions if you have some, I'm very happy to hear them!

just watered and fert again today, smelling very pungent and dankish! Made it through the stretch phase I think, no real vertical growth other than the flowers growing up and bigger. I think the SSCS is on its stretch phase now (about 4 weeks) as its really shot up in the past couple days, especially the lower branches.

Someone needs to invent smell-o-net so we can share smells along with pictures!!
