unexperianced biker looking for a road bike (not motorcycle)

well im ditching my car for a greener and healthier alternative, a road bike..
but i have no experiance in choosing which bike i need.
hopefully there are already some healthy green people on this site that can help me out. :leaf:

im looking for a CHEAP bike... under 300 preferably
i like the flat bar single speed road bike style, but i want it to be durable enough to take off curbs and go down shitty roads without the fear of popping tires or bending rims..

so im thinking a hybrid.. of some sort... or maby just a sturdy road bike...
again at this point im lost.

any suggestions :)

you know there were studies done and motor cycles are worse for the enviorment than cars they put out more polution

here you go, right up your alley. you can get it for $60 bucks at wal-mart, all nice and shiny and comes with a little bell

dumbass haha okay buddy i misread you question so you turn straight to a dick fuck you then need a bike have you mom take you to wallmart im sure she can help you pick a nice shiny one maybe if your lucky you will find one with a bell
